I downloaded the app on 31st December to make use of a free trial. They charged me the 29.99. I messaged for a refund and they have ignored me.

How to get hold with developers if "write to developers" function doesn't work

Needs a ton of improvement

Just be careful you don’t get charged a hefty 79 Eur if you don’t cancel on time. It really is not worth downloading. Crappy product overall.

10 minute Spanish

I’ve tried it all, video, tapes, books, private tutors Nothing has worked, but, but, but Now I’ve found 10 minute Spanish and tried two lessons so far and I have to be fair this is a really, really good way to learn Spanish. I’ve been living in Spain for thirty years and speak basic spanglish Which though is tolerated with a smile as I’m English and they know any Spanish word however out of context Badly pronounced or just plain wrong, is a major bonus for a Brit to say. I really need and want to learn how to let my short sentences of the one hundred words I know, flow as in a basic conversation, something I’ve longed for all my time here in Menorca Spain, and I really think this little app is going to finally help me do it. Thanks 10 minute Spanish, great work. Richard Guyatt Menorca Spain.

I downloaded the app to for the trial period, used it once and then I found 79.99€ charged after a week. That was not clear AT ALL!!! I immediately unsubscibed and removed the app, unable to receive a refund. Bad.

The vocabulary is not reliable

Khristina25 on

Spain

The content of the app must be computer generated and not reviewed by people. For example, “top 100 verbs” will give you translations to Spanish that are actually nouns, e.g. “to fly” is translated as “mosca”, which is “a fly”, “to mean” is translated as “infame”, which is an adjective. “To draw” is translated as “transportar”. Not suitable for learning Spanish

DO NOT BUY, OR TRIAL, THIS APP!

Of all the apps, systems, techniques and methods I use to enhance my Spanish language skills this app is absolutely and definitely the WORST. I signed up for a 7 day trial after seeing an offer that would lead to 6 months of access at 19.99 - on day 5 they charged me 79.99 - the refused to correct this when I contacted them. Stay away, it’s clearly a scam by some churn developer. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Good but not great

This is basically flashcards with sound and spaced repetition. Since learning languages is very hard for me I found it a productive and rewarding way to learn. There are errors, however. For instance, it translates chimenea as “hogar” and erroneously says that the Spanish word for fruitful means barren. And a lot of the translations to English are words Brits use like “faff,” which are not used in the US. Some of the Spanish words like “ceca” are translated in ways that are not used by most Spanish speaking countries. For instance it translates “ceca” as “tails” but the dictionary says that’s used in Argentina for a coin flip. It would be more useful if it showed a picture, not just the English translation, with the d Spanish word. And it would help if one could immediately review the same 20 words so as to learn then perfectly. While I didn’t like having to spell the words because I’m mainly trying to learn to converse I found spelling them useful because it helped me detect errors in my pronunciation. For instance, sometimes I’d try to use “m”s in Spanish words similar to English words that use “n”s.
