In 1748 vond de Franse verovering van Maastricht plaats. In Centre Céramique en Vesting Museum Maastricht zijn replica's te zien van de maquettes die het Franse leger destijds heeft gebruikt om de strijd goed voor te bereiden. Deze maquettes zijn gedigitaliseerd en door middel van augmented reality worden er verhalen uit de achttiende eeuw verteld.
