## 1800MEDICARE (was my health) Description
The 1800MEDICARE app (previously my health gov) is a secure and convenient way to view key health information that you, your healthcare providers or representatives have uploaded to My Health Record, it also gives you access to electronic prescriptions and has great features like find and book a health service, useful links to Medicare services and much more. It’s fast, easy, and secure - and you can access and share it all from the palm of your hand.

The 1800MEDICARE app is the first step towards easier access to more health services for all Australians.

The app has recently been updated, allowing users to manage and change privacy and access settings, which will also be reflected in My Health Record. Over time, new features including in-app notifications for preventative screening and reports on your tests and scans will be added.

To start using the 1800MEDICARE app, you’ll need:
- a myGov account 
- linked My Health Record to your myGov account

I couldn't fill my script today at the chemist. When I clicked my e-script in Messages, instead of opening the token in Safari it opened this app. No barcode to scan. The pharmacist didn't know what was going on. I didn't authorise this app to change the way my phone works. Rude. Predatory. Dishonest behaviour.

I am using the app to manage electronic prescriptions for me and my two children - it’s much better than trying to keep track of text messages and paper repeats! It’s very easy to use and has a nice design. I can also see my kids my health record information like scan results and the medications that have been dispensed which makes it easier to manage their care. Highly recommend.

This app is so freaking difficult to set up! Why aren’t things easier especially since my gov and my health are linked! You would think the information would just transfer.  Plus there’s no way to edit the incorrect information.  Poorly designed!

I press on bloodtest, nothing happens, nothing opens. It seems to be frozen.

I went back today 4,12. and After some fideles , i found the latent Health Results. No notes from and Health Provider when all this started until last year……..
Bit of a typical government idea, sounds good and helpful….but nothing is working…sounds familiar?

I find this app very useful.  I have not experienced any issues with it all.  I’m not sure what other reviewers are on about.   It’s easy to use and well designed.  The only problem I have is practitioners who are either too lazy or too inept and refuse to upload data.  As a result most but not all of my records are there so the picture is incomplete.

Pity the government always seems to choose idiots to make their digital assets.

Instructions go around and around like a cracked record. Each time I try to follow the instructions they just keep bringing me back to the instructions again.

A well designed website or app doesn’t require any instructions or training videos. That never happens when the government is involved.

I’ve seen better software from 12-year-olds.

Unable to update or add records following the Help advice.  The options are not available do you end up in a loop.

Additionally on mobile, when you Tap to View Document, nothing happens so you have no way to read the document.

I was looking forward to reviewing my Health Records, literally, but now sharing a poor review as the experience is less than satisfactory.

You cannot edit it, correct it, make sense of it, find your results on it to take to another specialist! In fact some paternalistic government department strikes again and turns something useful into a waste of time! Nor can you connect it to MyGov!
