In-app crash detection, emergency medical assistance and so much more. If you have comprehensive; off-road; third party, fire & theft; motorcycle; and third party only cover from 1st for Women, you automatically get Guardian Angel on Call to help keep you safe on the road. Depending on your cover, this service includes:

CRASH DETECTION: An in-app mobile crash detector picks up if you’re in a severe accident. 

EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE: Emergency medical assistance sent to your exact location, whether you contact us or not. 

TOWING SERVICE: An authorised tow-truck sent to your exact location. The ability to view driver details and track their progress in app.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE: A roadside assistance provider that you can track to your exact location if your vehicle is out of fuel, has a flat battery, or a flat tyre. 

REQUEST A LIFT: If your vehicle is towed, you can request a lift to where you need to go.

STAND-BY ME SERVICE: If you’re feeling unsafe, a Guardian Angel will be sent to wait with you until help arrives. 

AUTOMATIC CLAIMS NOTIFICATION: Our claims team will be notified immediately of your accident. Customers with comprehensive and off-road vehicle cover benefit from all the services above and can share them with their regular drivers and up to five loved ones.

The service is horrible to be quite honest. I had two messed up tyres (two separate occasions ) claimed both times and never received help . I just recently claimed for my windscreen and apparently my claim has been finalised and I’m just waiting on Glasfit to send me a WhatsApp link , it’s going on a full month now and they don’t even bother following up with me. No information about the access fee also and right now they just informed me my premiums are going up by about R500 . I’m ready to take my business elsewhere thank you very much.

### **--- "Home assistance process is poor."
I tried to get help on the app for assistance with a leaking drainage pipe on my dishwasher. There is no option on the app, but to call the main call centre. Disappointed that I couldn’t log a request on the App. 

I was put through - twice - to the incorrect department. 

The call centre operator’s mic was so bad, I could not understand the man.  

I called in again.  Same issue - sent to Claims. The background noise of loud talking meant that I had to ask the man to repeat and repeat.  He told me it would take 15 minutes to complete a claim form.  What??

The operator eventually figured out what I needed and sent me to Home Assistance. 

That operator’s mic was the worst one yet.  No idea what he said, a long explanation but it sum, someone will call me back. 

Now I wait.    

Whoever I spoke to - a total of 5 people, they asked me for my ID number, phone number and to confirm my name. Each time.  

Kinda dissatisfying because the sales process was so pleasant.

My application refuses to open which is not ideal when urgent assistance is needed, and certainly not helpful when their client service department does not operate on Sundays and public holidays, and when the call centre just directs you back to this app. It also doesn’t help that when you try to make contact via the call centre that they do not recognise your ID number. It is also bizarre that while the client services department is closed on Sundays and public holidays, the sales department is always open. This strongly implies where their priorities lie. Since the poor service and app do not excuse the high rates I pay to cover my car, I will be searching for a new insurance provider.

The app is easy to submit but I don’t know if the consultant assigned even go through the updates. I have uploaded photos of receipts no updates. 

I then got an email requesting information which I emailed back, to be asked of the same information.

This is my second time having a horrible experience in claim process. Either consultants are overworked thus cannot attend to all cases accordingly and on time or they are just incompetent.
