Earth 3D - World Atlas

Very basic not enough zoom. Good for kids to get general place of things. In the era of google maps this is just a pretty book for 5th standard

Good app

This app I have given to my son who is an avid follower. He has gained knowledge about places just playing about. This doesn’t crash and has ready Wikipedia connection for further details. It also gives historical facts. More could be given if fused with google earth

Many small-small things that are needed are missing, feels like it is only to show off to others

Very productive atlas

I've tried hundreds of iPad apps over the years and this ranks among the very best. It is in no way as detailed as a serious atlas but it's my go to for quick lookups if I just want to see where some tiny country I've barely heard of lies or exactly where Syria lies in the middle-east and what borders it shares with which countries. If you're someone who doesn't need help with those sort of things then maybe this app isn't for you. The app is gorgeous and made with painstaking care, it has a lot of useful functions - it shows the weather and time around the world. Sadly, I find the add-ons like the animals pack rather uninspiring. As for the sky/astronomy pack I think there are specialized apps that do a far better job. I would gladly pay for more detailed map packs which add several hundred more places on the globe. All in all this app is a must have and if you have a mac the mac version will absolutely blow you away on a wide screen monitor. Just get it and you'll always have the prettiest quick lookup globe ever made.

Gud app but can be better

I'm missing the point of this app! The 3-D globe is nice, but everything else is superficial, lacking the details which could make it useful for education...
