The site was great before, now the like button is broken
On my 3rd year as a paid member of 500px. This year I subscribed and they tell me I didn’t even though Apple clearly shows I paid through April 2025. I’ve emailed them and they said a host of different things blaming Apple and my bank but no resolution to date. Also the like button and follows is broken which is 95% of their model.
Edit: Apple finally refunded me, I won’t be paying for another year as their like button and follows have been broken for almost a week. I also received a response from Tim at 500px about the like button issue and he said the are aware of the issue but have no eta for a resolution.
problem with notifications
it's been week since in-app notifications don't work
Not save web
Be careful, all my info like full name, phone number, email address was exposed (licked) to hackers. Sadly I deleted my account and won’t come back.
I will not be renewing my membership.
Good luck with your picture taking.
Chinese stock
Bought years ago by a Chinese stock photography reseller. No thanks.
unresponsive and annoying to navigate
For an app that is suppose to showcase beautiful photography, this app is all but unusable. If you want to do anything other than browse your “feed,” it’s all but unnavigable. The website isn’t much better, but at least it lets you view galleries and has buttons that actually respond when you click them. Good concept, horrible execution.
From great to garbage
This app used to be very user friendly, and easy to navigate. Scoring was easy.
Now, changes to the user interface make it quite a bit more cumbersome to navigate and find what you are looking for. Quite often I find myself unable to get out of a picture on iPad. Too often I have to completely exit the app to be able to return to top level navigation. Shame… used to be real easy.
Stupid app crash 9 out of 10 times
Not even able to successfully upload one photo
Broken!
The latest update has broken the app.
It is now impossible to return to the gallery after viewing any picture full screen while holding the device horizontally.
The return button does not exist in this orientation.
The only way out is to return device to portrait orientation to get the return button to appear again.
Ruined
Navigation has become impossible. Once you enter a gallery there is no way to go back out without closing the app and restarting. Whoever is designing this app should try using it
