I wish I had read the negative comments before downloading this app and depositing a substantial amount of money. I would give 0 stars if I could. They closed me account and after verifying my ID documents over email, (in order to get my deposit money back) I have heard nothing back from them for 9 days. Please do not make the same mistake I did and plenty others have done!

UPDATED REVIEW. I received a response to my review from the developers who asked me to go to the cashier on the app and use the help function to find out why I wasn’t given a welcome bonus. As soon as I got the message that I wasn’t entitled to any welcome bonus I closed the account right away so I’m unable to use this feature. My original review still stands. I started an account and before I could click on anything or deposit any amount I was given a message stating I wasn’t eligible for the welcome bonus and to add insult to injury I wasn’t even told why I’m not eligible. Very unfair and unnecessary. I even checked all emails to ensure I hadn’t made a previous account and forgot and I hadn’t. Disappointed in you 888. I guess sky bet and Ladbrokes can have my business. All I ask is you play fair and if you don’t at least give a reason.

Now I’m a winning customer I’m unable to withdraw, unable to make contact with the correct area team within 888 for months, obvious difficulties structuring around government guidelines (which are used against customers and for bookmakers benefits at times chosen by the bookmaker) Seems very deliberate how able to deposit and stake bets without the ability to withdraw. My account was then officially “restricted “ via notification email BUT surprise surprise. I was still able to place large bets and deposits. This continued for weeks before my whole account was temporarily locked. Still is after 2weeks. Unable to retrieve balance. Total radio silence. Worst betting app ever!!! Works really slow and they did not give my £30 bonus!!! Please stay away from them!

Made a mistake when depositing first 10 pound forgot to add promo code, so didn’t get bonus, contacted customer service to see if could get my bonus no help wouldn’t give me bonus as new customer very disappointed

They put restrictions on my acccount for no reason at all

After opening an acoustic I deposited £200 made my first sports bet of £10 and did not receive my £30 bonus as promised

The fact that you hide behind the screen no one can call you or ask a question. You have no connection with your customers you treat as a number no as a human.

I used to like 888, used them regularly but there is no point using them now they’ve axed Best Odds Guaranteed. A very foolish decision by them, no wonder they’re in financial trouble.
