Guys! You need to take a hard look at this app! I had very few problems listening to the station on my iPhone 13 up until about a week and a half ago. It seems that when I installed the latest iOS version, that’s when the app started to drop quite frequently. I miss listening to DJ Heavy aka Heavy Claus!!
We moved to Brunswick Co 15 yrs ago. My husband said it was so that we could listen to 94.9. We love the music and the DJ’s. Thanks for the memories.
Tough to listen via this app on iOS (the Android version is somewhat better). Audio stops quite frequently, especially when minimized and using other apps. Looks like I’m not the only one who has experienced this. The support link merely goes to the station website, where I merely clicked on the “listen” link, where I got a dependable stream that doesn’t keep stopping. I certainly hope that is not the app developer’s solution to this. So, in other words, UPDATE THE APP!
Like being at the beach wherever I am! For that, I give it 5 stars. The app seems a bit sensitive on my iphone 8. Stops playing if using other smartphone functions. Good to see the song title/artists. That info doesn’t refresh sometimes.
I’ve lived here since 1979, I remain a loyal listener! The music makes me dance around in my house and happy in the car! Now I seem to have it on my phone! What more do I need? Thanks
We live in Topsail Beach and Orange, VA and take 94.9 EVERYWHERE with us! Bluetooth speakers on the boat, at the deck, on the dock. On the farm...all the time...in the stable! thank you for all your great music!
This app has been great but used on the app or launching from the web browser, there is a spam/scam pop up and makes streaming the station impossible. This occurs after deleting and reinstalling the app as well.
Unless it’s 94.9 The Surf! Then we can’t leave the radio! They play the best Beach and Shag music ever heard on any radio station. Couple all that with oldies that we haven’t heard in years! Not the overplayed burned out stuff. We get very happy with hearing The Surf, not angry as we do with the other cookie cutter stations. Thanks for another great day of listening, 94.9 The Surf!
Love the music... hate the app. Keeps crashing on iPad, cell phone and iPhone...every 10-15 minutes it stops playing. Have to keep pressing the play button every 10-15 minutes.
Love the station, but not when it wakes me up at 2:30 am! Or when it starts playing randomly when I am on the phone. The app can be completely shut down and start playing out of the blue.
