The user in distress can send “A Shout For Help” with their exact location to a trusted contact in just a few seconds. Moments after reading the Shout for Help the contact can locate the user position with IOS Maps then call using FaceTime to visually assess the user’s distress. This App is not intended for entertainment. “A Shout For Help” will send a text message containing the users exact location to a trusted contact in times of distress. Examples of use: A person is seen walking onto a campus with a gun, as soon as they find suitable cover students send “A Shout For Help”, in moments trusted contacts report the situation to the authorities. This action has the potential to save lives. A child walking home from school notices a suspicious person following her, she sends “A Shout For Help” to grandma. Grandma upon receiving the “Shout” calls the child using FaceTime and evaluates the situation. 99 times out of 100 grandma will simply comfort and assure the child, if the child does not answer a more drastic response such as calling 911 may be called for. ## A Shout For Help Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple1/v4/8f/47/88/8f478865-7c24-0ecb-afd6-f15ea4fb81d4/pr_source.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple3/v4/ee/29/32/ee2932a9-92a7-9c8f-4999-c00b1921e95c/pr_source.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple3/v4/bb/97/a7/bb97a796-44ee-bdc0-81db-2d2f5bdfa959/pr_source.png/640x960.png) ## A Shout For Help Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 0 (0%) - 4 stars: 1 (100%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 0 (0%) ## A Shout For Help Reviews in United States ### ****- "Works but modification needed" The app works well, however, I can't find a way to delete names once they are entered into a list. The app came with an already installed 800 number called "Dad" that was not a number I recognized - when I called the number I got a survey. I need to get rid of this "Dad" number. Please advise. -- PiddlePro, 2014-12-23 ### ***** "Haven't tried it out yet" I've just downloaded this. I'm going to experiment with it to my friends & family who might get my SOS at a future date so I become quick on the draw and they know what they're dealing with should the moment arise. With my luck when my "Help I've fallen and I can't get up moment" comes my phone will be yards away! -- Monte Nido, 2014-06-02 ### ***** "Hikers' Must" My wife and I hike 3 times a week. After we heard about this app from "The Tech Guy" Leo we downloaded this app immediately. In a trail, you never know. It gets dark quickly. We encountered rattle snakes, bobcats, coyotes, and luckily not yet seeing any mountain lion. We were almost bitten by a "startling" rattle snake when hiking on a narrow trail. This app allows us to send 3 text messages to our family members. Now, we enjoy the hiking, picture taking, and most importantly, a peace of mind. Thank you! -- HDDude, 2014-05-26 ### ***** "Cool app!" This app would be helpful for hiking and camping so I downloaded it just in case. -- Hot on ice, 2014-05-25 ### ***** "Useful" Good work John. I set my parents up with it on there iPad so they can get in touch with me quickly. Looking forward to future versions. Keep it simple. -- rtc777, 2014-04-14 ### ***** "Search and Rescue helper" The value of this app is to give directions to those searching for you. Good tool for both search and rescue agencies and family members -- Bill K511, 2014-04-12 ### ***** "A great app when walking home late a night" I recommend this to all -- Basement Cow, 2014-04-12 ### ***** "Great idea and great app" I downloaded this when I saw it, and it's excellent. I have 3 daughters, one fully adult, one teenage high school Sr. and one grade schooler. This is a must for them. Just one more tool to help protect your family.
