The information on the app kept changing!! After 3 months they can fix it. Another month and the car is returned, fixed with some ‘modified’ parts. It took months of ‘negotiations’ to get them to do anything. Through BOTH their complaints departments, then to AFCA. We managed to get $1k compensation but will no longer insure anything with AAMI and have sold the car that cannot be repaired. AAMI’s handling of this was abysmal. If you can’t fix it, write it off!! If you want to make it cheaper you can delete certain items you do not want. Other companies make their policies cheaper by not covering you for items you think you’re covered for. They do the buyer be ware style of insurance. AAMI may seem dearer but they are not. They cover you for everything. AAMI are peace of mind. Also don’t understand when I want to view a policy document the only option is for it to be emailed to you. Why can’t you open it from the app? You will have to got to your files to get the policy number - you can’t copy from the app and if you start a chat from you policy it won’t copy the policy number into the chat, and you can’t copy it either. But you can’t start the chat without entering the policy number. So they direct you to calling them. You still have to call. What is the point of an app when you can’t do anything?
