Note ist ein Ort für Skizzen, neue Sounds und Ideen: Lass deinen Ideen freien Lauf oder experimentiere einfach, bis die Inspiration einsetzt. Dabei steht dir eine Auswahl von Lives Drum-Kits, Synths und Instrumenten zur Verfügung. Erstelle deine eigene Klangpalette, indem du mit dem integrierten Mikrofon deines Telefons Samples aufnimmst. Und nutze den integrierten MIDI-Editor von Note, um Noten, Beats und Akkorde zu sequenzieren oder beim Hören Anpassungen zu vorzunehmen
 
Verfolge deine Ideen, wohin auch immer sie dich führen und sende deine Projekte mit Ableton Cloud an Live, ohne die App zu verlassen. Du findest deine Projekte in Lives Browser und kannst dort weiterarbeiten. Sämtliche Samples und Sounds werden direkt aus Note übernommen, MIDI-Noten kannst du nach Belieben verändern. There are a lot of useful apps on the music market for making quick patterns. But there’s only one like this one which actually comes in handy when you need a quick and instinctive overlay. This app combines minimalistic design with various functionalities which hopefully gets more powerful and complex over the time. I come natively from FL Studio but this mobile app is finally a good  compromise between usability and functionality for a small platform. But there are some points: The limit of 8 instrument Channels seems to be a bit poor when creating something light advanced. Also there are no possibilities to set the time signature to triplets. I’m kind of disappointed cause so many reviews pointed that out years ago, and it seemed nothing changed yet. Hope this is not an app which kills its potential by letting it die as an old piece of data waste like the other ones in the store…

Ich hatte in den 80ern immer vorgehabt, ein Diktiergerät zu besitzen. Hier eine kleine Beatbox-Einlage, da eine Melodie, dort eine Text Idee...
Jetzt haben wir Ableton Notes. Eine echt geile Idee. Ok, mit der Quantisierung ist mathematische Ordnung möglich, aber ich würde mir ein sichtbares Raster je nach Taktart wünschen. So in der Art, wie man mit dem Stift und der Maus die MIDI-Noten setzen kann. Das Sampeln ist große Klasse.
Für das Taktraster und die gezielte MIDI-Noten-Eingabe gibt's dann volle Punktzahl.
Das kriegt Ihr hin. Ich weiß es.

Die kleine Note-App wird immer besser :) Auf iPads wäre aber natürlich noch sehr viel mehr möglich. Wenn die Abgrenzung zu Live bleiben soll, dass die App für musikalische Notizen und kleine Jams genutzt wird, ist es sehr wichtig, dass sie intuitiv und schnell bedienbar bleibt und sich nicht in zu großer Detaillierung verliert - also coole mächtige Makrofunktionen bietet und eher nicht den Blick aufs letzte Schräubchen.

Immernoch völlig unausgereift und User Interface nicht intuitive Hebung.
Warum kauft ihr nicht einfach eine Lizenz von Groovebox und Ampify und entwickelt das nicht weiter. Das ist der einzig vernünftige Groovebox Interface seit 2017 aber auch Ampify kommt nicht mehr in die Gänge. Jeder kocht sein unausgereiftes Süppchen und lässt es liegen oder anstatt das Große, Ganze zusehen, verliert sich in endlosem Debugging. Hier fehlt der intuitive Flow von Groovebox und dem Groovebox vom Ampify fehlt es an Wille zu Integration als DAW.

Had an iPad for a while. There was landscape mode as an option. I know the screen of the phone I am using (6s) is tiny, but I want to be able to do it anyways. Should fit. Especially since I don’t need the pads. At least theoretically. If Ableton note detects pads, or the user flips a switch in the settings, it’d be easy to hide them. Would make it more versatile. Which is the Ableton kind of way (in many cases at least) on desktop OS, that I’ve come to appreciate. Got a presonus atom. Has pads. Can’t seem to use them? Cannot assign them? Wot. The Manual points @ settings for midi mapping and macros. Why not full midi mapping. Cmon pls don’t do the resticty. Apps great overall and performs well even in this ol’ hardware. Wanted to diy a portable, Sampler type a thing, just to play pan drum mainly. But as I have this app anyway, and have enjoyed so far what it offered and how it presented itself, iThought I need look no further…..Wouldhabeenperfect. I know this is Not solely a sampler and it’s strengths may lie elsewhere. But it’s no stretch adding this functionality. And as midi mapping is really quite basic a function, my rating plumits based on the lack thereof. The user base would certainly greatly benefit of of real midi mapping. It would be a dream come true.

Eigentlich insgesamt ein nettes Konzept. Die guten Bewertungen sind mir persönlich allerdings ein großes Rätsel. Wer kann denn auf diesem „Mäuseklavier“ ernsthaft Melodien einspielen?? Leider scheint es tatsächlich keinen MIDI-Eingang zu geben! Schade drum, verschenktes Potential. Oder habe ich da etwas übersehen? Des Weiteren gibt es anscheinend auch keine Audio-Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten. Bei Verwendung einer Soundcard mit mehreren Eingängen auch doof…. So ist die App für mich nur ein unausgereiftes Spielzeug. Aber es ist ja noch eine junge App, vielleicht wird ja noch nachgebessert, würde mich sehr freuen! 

 EDIT: Toll, jetzt gibt es einen MIDI-Eingang! Da gebe ich doch gerne direkt eine bessere Bewertung. Danke!

Die App macht wirklich Spaß, vor allem der mögliche Export als Ableton Projekt macht Note zu einer tatsächlichen Erweiterung eines produktiven Workflows. Nur, dass die App noch keinen (Step) SEQUENCER hat, ist wirklich schade!

Compared to other iOS music apps, this is just not a good value for the price and features you get in my opinion.. Cool that you can export stuff to live.. other than that, this is pretty unusable to me.. you can’t even paint in a few notes in a clip but instead have to record them by tapping on a touchscreen. It’s called ableton note for crying out loud. Let us paint in notes and edit patterns properly..
