Note is a place to form ideas, experiment with sounds and find direction. Get your ideas out or play until inspiration hits using a selection of Ableton Live’s drum kits, synths and melodic instruments. Or create your own sound palette by recording the sounds around you into Note’s sampler instruments using your phone’s microphone.

I love Ableton Note!
I love Ableton Note, but I would like to see:
-Scale Finder - I play something without scale, and after that I can see list of scales that fits my melody and select that. Because sometimes It just takes me too much time to find scale of What I played.
-Notepad - simple Notepad.
Filter options
Window doesnt always show up when button pressed, sometimes it needs more than one press to show up
on iphone 13
Thank you for this app And will be awesome if you add some advanced midi stretching tools, and percentage for quantisation applying
Great MIDI notepad for Live
So good for sketching drums; syncs perfectly with Ableton; most intuitive ui - the best imo. One crucial thing you can’t do though is sketching a song with vocals because there is no audio tracks like there is in Live. Would love to see it in future updates 🙌
Please Midi Knobs
I will give 5 stars as The design is on point. I need midi fader mapping cause now only midi notes work.
It’s a great compliment to Live!
I think it’s a great concept, but why doesn’t Ableton bring Live IOS ? The iPads have the power , but lacking the applications. Ableton Note is just that..an awesome musical sketch pad for those who want to work anywhere. It’s got a lot under the hood for creating ideas and once it’s done, bring it to another level in Live 11. It’s awesome!
A little dissapointment
Missing basic funcionalities - for example changing note length or saving presets
Good but
Importing external samples into the app should be easier.
Just one thing left - audio clips
I bought the app as soon as I heard about it, and it’s just awesome. But, when it comes to sketching music ideas, my usual process is writing a beat, then sketching a guitar part and a vocal idea on top. That’s what I would usually want to transfer into Live for future work. Right now, it’s not possible as there are no audio clips, which I hope is somewhere on top on the In Progress feature list, as it’s a crucial feature for demoing in my specific case. Besides the lack of audio clips - this is by far the best app for making music with a very well-defined purpose, I really love how it integrates with Live, and how intuitive it is, also the fact that synths and effects get transferred to Live. So yes, eagerly waiting for audio clips, while using the app anyway, that’s what we, Ableton users, know how to do best :)
Edit: thank you for the response! What you mentioned is samples for drums and samples to be pitched and used like instrument. I was referring specifically to audio clips (e.g. a guitar loop that can be triggered in the clip view, like the midi clips)
I love it, I live it
Thank You Ableton team for this price, this app can really empower many people on this planet. Quality is just great
