Ableton Note

A place to start musical ideas

Published by: Ableton

Description

Start new musical ideas with a curated selection of sounds and effects. Create beats and melodic parts, sample your world, and continue your tracks in Ableton Live.
Note is a place to form ideas, explore new sounds and find direction. Get your ideas out or just experiment until inspiration hits, using a selection of Ableton Live’s drum kits, synths and melodic instruments. Create your own sound palette by sampling with your phone’s built-in microphone. And use Note’s built-in MIDI Editor to sequence notes, beats and chords or make tweaks as you listen back

Follow your ideas wherever they lead by sending your projects to Live without leaving the app with the help of Ableton Cloud. Open projects from Live’s browser and keep working – you can edit all your MIDI notes, and all your samples and sounds from Note are exactly the same. Ableton Note users get a free license for Ableton Live Lite – simple, intuitive software used by musicians, producers and DJs around the world to write, record, and perform. For Ableton Move users, Note also offers the chance to keep working on a Set from your phone.

Ableton Note Reviews

16 bars

bukavichenko on

Ukraine

We need 16 bars so much. 8 bars too short

Sequence useless

al_kapucino on

Ukraine

Sequencer useless. And in general app also useless because sequencer. Guys, make normal step sequencer please.

Thanks!

imelosb on

It's become my favorite app.

step sequencer ?

evgeniy_gnrk on

Ukraine

The step sequencer is very lacking !!! It's a note-taking app ... which are done when you don't have an ableton at hand ... It can be a situation of waiting for something (public transportation or waiting for your turn at the checkout line in a supermarket...). There are many scenarios in which a step sequencer with the ability to edit notes and their pattern would be more convenient. Good application, but so far useless, unfortunately 🤷‍♂️

Drum pad now broken

sumechoo on

Ukraine

With the latest update there is a lag in drum pad. No lag on sequence playback though, so should be a defect and not a tech limitation

Please, Audio clips

Roman Che on

Ukraine

Hi. This is the amazing app. Please add “audio clips” or any other possibility to quickly add vocal ideas, or guitar ideas using microphone. “Drum Rack” way is not too intuitive and fast for tasks like that.

Thanks

thanks for widgets on the homescreen! if you ever develop AI based features that interpret a whistle or sung sample into a midi form, that would be total awesome
