When the recipient tried to withdraw the funds, this is not an option at an ATM as the limit is R4000. At no point while I was doing this transaction does it say anything about the ATM limit. What it does say is that the whole amount sent has to be withdrawn at once. How can this be done if there is an ATM withdrawal amount limit? I live abroad and cannot physically go to the bank to sort this out. My Absa card was stolen and then later my app ceased to work. I can only reinstall the app by using the number of my old card. But no one will give it to me. I can’t come into the branch....planes aren’t flying because of COVID. I am wiling to answer a myriad of security questions if someone would just help me. I’ve got to the point where the app allows me to use it as a verification device (after multiple setup attempts) and can login to my banking on desktop. Still can’t login on the app as it says my credentials are wrong (which I know there are not as their the 5digit code I setup minutes earlier). Worth choosing another bank just to avoid this app. UPDATE: after writing this original review (1 star) one of ABSA’s iOS Devs contacted me to troubleshoot. It took a while but all they needed to do was reset my credentials and it is not working. It’s a pretty good once working so happy I sorted it out.
