Accounting・Bookkeeping Taxnote

Taxnote used to be clean, simple, and easy to use for business bookkeeping. They just did an update, making it practically unusable. The search function always fails, I can no longer search for specific expenses or customer orders. This is a mess. I no longer feel confident about this bookkeeping, so I will have to cancel and find a new one.

Had this app for year & loved it. Yesterday woke up and it wouldn’t open. I deleted it & restarted it and everything is new. I paid extra to backup my data and now I just get an error message. So now I have to spend my weekend redoing accounting for this whole year!!! Also the new update is terrible!! It won’t let you put a decimal point in the dollar entry so good luck with that. Finding something else!! Waste of money!!

I cannot open my taxnote. What do I do?

They don’t have the category that often use. And it only allow you to record 15 then want to your money

If you have multiple entries, this app isn’t for you! Oh and you have to pay for it after 15 entries. Wow joke and waste of!‼️‼️‼️‼️

Honestly getting tired of app developers slipping their subscription information at the very bottom of their app description. If I wanted to pay for this service, that SHOULD be free, I’d pay for QuickBooks. Don’t waste your time. If you want to pay for that service, pay for quickbooks. Infinitely better. If you actually want a free service, there are legitimate options. This isn’t one of them.

Simple. And easy to use. Makes my taxes at the end of the year so much easier to do. I echo other comments about better reports, and really wish there was an English version of the help pages. I had to figure it out by trial and error. Luckily the program is easy enough to do this. Thanks for something that small businesses can afford.

I love the simplicity of this app. I just wish you could attach receipts for end of the year tax purposes and to keep them in one place.

This App has been perfect for my small business. I just needed something simple to track income/expenses without a huge price tag. Taxnote is so easy to input information and simple to export and print as well. I did upgrade to the plus version and if it remains functionally well, I will use next year as well. My only complaint is I have no idea how to get help in English. When I go the help center, all that comes up is a bunch of foreign symbols. I hope the developer will reach out and explain an English help center that is easy to understand and navigate!

Please don’t waste their time.
