## Acme Weather Description
Acme Weather, from the creators of Dark Sky.

Our homegrown forecasts help you make better decisions about your day.

* Alternate Predictions
Weather is unpredictable, and forecasts are often wrong. Instead of a single guess, Acme displays alternate predictions that show you how reliable the forecast is and the range of possible outcomes.

* Notifications
Never miss important weather again. Acme has notifications for precipitation, severe weather, lighting, daily summaries, and more. Want to know if it'll be windy or if the UV index will be high? Create custom notifications for the conditions you care about.

* Community Reports
There’s nothing more reliable than when someone nearby tells you what’s happening. Acme lets anyone report what they’re seeing, maps it instantly, and alerts you when something’s happening close by.

* Beautiful Maps
Our maps include real-time radar, snow accumulation, air quality, hurricanes and more. The most relevant map will appear directly in your forecast page for instant context.

* Subscription
Acme is free to use for two weeks, then requires a $25 USD/year subscription. A Family Sharing subscription is also available for $50 USD/year.

* Privacy First
- We collect only what’s necessary to provide the service
- We don’t store your location history

## Acme Weather Reviews in United States

### ***** "Nice!"
Silly name but very happy so far! Some missing things like sunrises in community posts! Im sure they will fix over time!
-- QRidge, 2026-03-27

### ***-- "Needs family sharing"
I’m ready to pay for an annual subscription, but I need family sharing before I can pull the trigger. We were long time dark sky fans, and can’t wait to subscribe to this new app.
-- dasmart, 2026-03-27

### ****- "Looks nice, but disappointing forecast"
I downloaded Acme Weather and tried the free trial to see if it could provide more accurate forecasts than many apps for my location on the Oregon Coast.

The good- I like the nice clean layout of the app, easy to navigate, no ads.

Not so good: after I downloaded the app, I checked the forecast for the next day. It said ‘clear all day’. The next morning, 12 hours later, I woke up to mostly clear skies with some scattered fog. The app said ‘99% chance of rain in the next hour’. The radar showed some light showers tracking toward my area, but skies remained clear. The Weather Channel app and the Apple weather app both showed sunny to partly cloudy with no chance of rain.

Within a 30 minute span, the app’s forecast for my area alternated between ‘99% chance of rain’ and ‘clear skies all day’. Ultimately the skies remained clear throughout the morning with some intermittent clouds in the PM.

I live in an area where forecasting is very difficult due to proximity to the ocean, lots of terrain, and some gaps in radar coverage, but this forecasting error within 12 hours of trying the app was enough for me to cancel the trial and avoid the $25 annual fee.

### **--- "No 5 day Forcast map"
It’s nice but not better. Really, all I wanted was the animated 5 day pacification Forcast map that they had in dark sky. But also the widgets have issues. It shows the low. But not you can’t tell if that’s for the morning or evening. So you can’t see what the overnight low is … at least not in one widget.
-- 2buck, 2026-03-26

### ****- "Waited 1,149 Days for this App"
I wish there was an AQI iWatch "complication" so I could delete Apple's Weather app. The price is steep compared to the old app, but I don't mind because there is nothing else in this league. Biggest pros are the impeccable UI and the notifications, but I also appreciate the alternative predictions and all the map options. The OG for minute by minute hyperlocal rain forecasts.

### ***** "The best weather app"
I was so glad when I heard the DarkSky team was coming back. And the app does not disappoint! Useful, succinct summaries at all times. Great visualizations, they do a great job show the uncertainty in predictions. Really good data, too.
-- Dunster64, 2026-03-24

### ****- "5 Star Potential"
Before it was culled, or as they claim -absorbed into the big eco system - Dark Sky was brilliant. And the only weather app to be as accurate as the weather allowed. I hope Acme will grow into what Dark Sky was. The new app is not (yet) as friendly to navigate and is missing the pleasant and modern GUI of its predecessor. The app is also not supporting iPad and Family Sharing. Otherwise I am happy to have access to really good weather app. The product that comes with iPhone is just a tad better than looking out the window. Thank you Team Acme
-- PDexPat, 2026-03-24

### ***** "I love the clean uncomplicated appearance of Acme Weather!"
Everything I need to know, presented cleanly and straightforward. What’s not to love about this app? I love the way I can pick my favorites in the pulldown menu, great that I can scroll down to the map and choose radar, and I love that this app is only available as a paid app so I know they won’t be selling my data.
-- Kern Canyon Camper, 2026-03-21

### ***-- "Not quite there"
The app isn’t quite developed enough to justify a subscription cost. Forecast aren’t any more accurate than Apple weather. Just had one predicting snow when it was 64F degrees outside. Timing of weather and precipitation intensity also not very accurate and notifications seem delayed. Love the UI but needs work before I’d pay a subscription.
-- Chris_CLT, 2026-03-19

### ****- "It's very nice, but I would like more customization options to really differentiate it."
Any chance you can add some easily accessible sunrise and sunset times?
