Apple app is poor. You can’t really edit a route made by auto guidance. It continually takes me through land or 1-2 ft depths and when I try to edit by touching and adding a turn to get out of the shallows, it simply drags one small point over and then heads right back to the shallows or land, making it pretty useless (why the heck would it take my over land or 1 - 2 ft shallows anyway?) Also, after plotting a course through my home area, it will not allow you to copy/duplicate the path and then add to it. This is absolutely crazy and makes it a very poor app. You can rename it, but you can’t do a “save as”, so in other words you need to 100% start over with every route single route and plot the whole thing from your home port again, which is frustrating for me as we have lots of shallows and I must chart the course over and over again (like 40 turns). In regards to uploading to the system with updates on my boat, it works fine. Perhaps the android app works much better, but would be nice if there was a way to copy routes and edit in a user friendly fashion (even on a PC).
Updates and charts won’t load even after multiple new cards tried
Terrible at best.
I like how updates work but wish it kept serial numbers or u it’s
Makes updating data soooooo simple.
The app doesn’t appear to have a way to add a second boat with its own electronics.
Great for pre trip planning and on the water adjustments. Easy of use, connectivity and accuracy are its strong points. Thanks Ken Elliott
Excellent
If you an angler and don’t have this technology that Garmin has introduced. Your missing out.
