AdBlock

The best ad blocker

Description

The original AdBlock - the first and last ad-blocker you'll ever need. A one time purchase - no subscriptions needed. We've been blocking ads on iPhones and iPads since 2012 - we know our game! :)
AdBlock allows you to block ads on your iOS device. Get rid of 99% of annoying popups, banners and video ads. Protect your privacy, limit bandwidth use, speed up your device, save battery and drastically improve your day-to-day iOS experience.
The most important advantages of AdBlock are:
• AdBlock comes with a local DNS proxy service built-in. Use it to see which domains you're device is contacting. Create your own rules and assign any IP to any domain, right on your device. You can (and should!) bootstrap this feature with rules found online.
• AdBlock has enhanced DNS proxy rules export and import function. Share DNS proxy rules with other users, easily import rules found on the Internet.
• AdBlock comes with a Safari Content Blocker to block ads on websites in Safari.
• AdBlock allows you to create your own list of domains and synchronize your rules between all your devices using iCloud.
• AdBlock allows you to protect your privacy by blocking mobile trackers. Prevent Internet trackers from recording your online activity and selling your private data.
• AdBlock does not send your Internet traffic through any remote server. All of your connections stay direct, fast and secure. Ads are blocked right on your device!
• Setting up AdBlock is simple! Just download the app, and follow the tutorial to set everything up. When in doubt - contact our support!
• AdBlock automatically updates to the latest version of the filters on every app run. We keep the ad servers database up-to-date for you.
• AdBlock works with Wi-Fi and cellular networks. You don't need to set it up separately for every network you use.
• AdBlock comes with a handy widget to quickly change the DNS proxy status when needed.

AdBlock Reviews

Does not block any ads on YouTube, Reddit, Facebook, or anything outside of safari

naomim1994_apple on

Paid for because it promised on the website to block ads on safari as well as all of the other apps. Followed all of the instructions and am receiving the same number of ads on every service (outside of safari) with absolutely no change. It's only $4 but I'm still upset to have wasted my money.

Still getting YouTube ads

taylorisokay on

I upgraded to AdBlock from AdGuard because I started to get YouTube ads. Thought the protection would be better since it’s a paid app. Unfortunately, YouTube ads are still getting through on this app. Perhaps it’s a problem with the filters? Happy to update my review when this is fixed. For now, not happy.

Highly recommend!

Simple to use and blocks adds in almost every app! Worth the $3 for sure

Stop pestering me for a review

I’ve opened the app for 1 minute and it’s asked me twice already. So here’s your review - one star. I have no idea what the app is like yet.

Keeps disabling itself

This worked great with the old version 2.8.2 and iOS 8.43. Since updating to iOS 11 and the most recent version it keeps disabling itself, whether it’s apples fault or adblockers fault, I’ve instead gone to adguard premium, have to pay to play.

No way to disable VPN icon in status bar!

This app is great but please add the option to disable the "VPN" icon in the status bar, thanks.

Love it

App works great for blocking ads while chromecasts apps to the TV.

Good idea but not enough

Skuxx_Mffn on

At first I really liked this app; looks good, simple to use etc.; but then I noticed that it doesn't really work. It has a big list of ad sites/companies that it blocks but if they are blocked, they mustn't be very common ad sites/companies. I didn't notice any improvement worthy of keeping this app. Really wished that it did pan out though.

This app doesn't work

Taneshima on

Doesn't block any ads by not letting you connect in VPN settings. Might also be stealing your information through their "fake VPN" unlike other ad blockers that is just an extension.
