ælbum 是一个诞生于 Demo Inn Shanghai 的实验项目，致力于创作音画互动的 “视觉专辑”。
传统的音画互动作品依托复杂的桌面软件，通常只能作为线下装置艺术供观众观赏。而为了将 ælbum 的体验触达更多的用户，我们设计了一套完整的音画互动架构。在这个架构中，画面能够被实时渲染，声音能够被实时合成，细致到操作 GPU Buffer 中的一个原始字节，或是声音波形中的细微震荡。
在此基础之上，我们将这样的音画互动体验封装进了 ælbum 这个概念，其中的 æ 来自 Cytus II 中的 Aesir。它就像一张普通的音乐专辑，在手机上可以后台播放、在灵动岛显示专辑封面、创建漂亮的小组件，而在桌面版本，可以设为动态桌面壁纸、监听全局的键盘输入。
我们希望，ælbum 可以持续的更新、连接更多的视觉、声音艺术家和用户，创造独一无二的奇妙体验。
