We booked an appartment that asked for a security deposit through a dependent platfrom called “SWIKLY”. We paid the accomodation through agoda and tried to pay the security through the SWIKLY platform but it didn’t accept my card because of my country regulation . We asked to pay the security deposit through agoda and they didn’t acccept . We asked for a refund and they didn’t accept . They took our money and they told us they can’t do anything about it . So we lost my money with no accommodation.
Unprofessional agents and it took us two days of negotiations with them to understand my case , and we guess they didn’t understand till now .

Beware of Agoda Fraud and Deceptive Practices: My Money Vanished
My recent experience with the Agoda application while booking a hotel in Rome was more than disappointing and frustrating. While booking, I wasn't informed that Agoda would share my credit card information directly with the hotel, which is not the norm for such platforms.
To my dismay, an anonymous charge of €400 appeared on my credit card when my hotel bill should have been around $300. I reached out to the hotel through Agoda multiple times for clarification, but received no response. The situation escalated when, on the day of my flight, while I was on the airplane, I received a WhatsApp message from the hotel informing me that my booking had been canceled. When I tried to contact them, I was blocked.
Simultaneously, Agoda sent me an email stating that the hotel had canceled my booking and that they would help me find an alternative hotel. This left me in a terrible predicament, as I was already on my way to Rome with no place to stay, and my money had been taken.
My attempts to contact Agoda for assistance were in vain as they did not respond. It felt like they and the hotel had conspired to take my money and then abandoned me.
I am sharing this review to warn others about my dreadful experience with Agoda. Beware, as it appears that they might mishandle your payment and leave you in a dire situation without any support or communication
