■ FAQ
‣ Can I edit the text in the app?
I don't plan to support any editing. Export the transcription and edit it in a proper text editor.
‣ Why is the app so large?
The app delivers the highest quality transcription on the market for 100 different languages. Rather than asking why it's so large, the real question is how is it so small.
‣ Why is the transcription so slow?
The app favors accuracy over speed. However, performance is expected to improve in the coming months.
‣ Why must I keep the iOS app open while it transcribes?
iOS apps are fundamentally restricted from operating in the background for extended periods.
‣ Can I delete some of the languages to save space?
This is unfortunately not possible. The model has all the languages stored together in a way that makes it impossible to remove just some languages.

Use it daily

Such a great, lightweight, carefully thought out app. Has been essential for transcription work.

No Model Selection

Mstormer on

United States

Would love to be able to choose which model I use. Turbo may be able to run on newer devices better.

Constant Crashes

sealbhaigh on

United States

Not well built. Constantly crashes and never finishes transcriptions.

Excellent (but one weird glitch)

occasional downloader on

United States

Much more accurate than Apple’s transcription. But it inexplicably adds “Thanks for watching!” at the end of every transcription from the phone’s mic, and the line gets included when I copy and paste the output.

Did Not Work As Expected

Appleguy27654 on

United States

I bought this app for $16 due to the mostly positive reviews but this app did not meet my expectations. The bugs are definitely there. Even with a little bit of silence you get a constant repeat of the same sentence over and over again. It also does not provide a very good transcription. Most of the times, the sentences are incoherent and make no sense. This is odd due to the fact that it is using AI capabilities to interpret speech to text input. I would not recommend buying this product.

I like that it’s free

It’s a free transcriber , who doesn’t love it! Tho sometimes it crashes so I have to use voice memo to record first then upload it to Aiko

Good for ADHD

Eyeless Fish on

United States

This app is really good for those of us with ADHD. I like to record stuff so I can go back and listen to it later. With the transcription that helps you because I can go back and read it and make sure I didn’t miss anything. Keep up the good work. Thank you for making it accessible to the blind. And I love that it’s free. That’s just awesome.
