Worst app and agency I ever met

Neil6678 on

Now even the third party app wants to take extra fees from us. Ridiculous. Stop buying androids to improve your rate. You only deserve one star!

Direct debit fees

Georgie4321 on

This feels like a convenient app to chat to property managers but charging a fee to set up a reoccurring bank transfer is a bit ridiculous. Charging someone for ensuring timely rent payments is counterproductive and creates admin for tenants that isn’t required.

Avoid Opportunistic Fees

ozopa on

Avoid their CON for Rent Payers. Another Rent Extracting middleman adding fees onto what was free Autodebit via bank transfers. For FKs same as if people aren’t being FK’D over enough in Australia this mob comes along to offload Agents admin costs onto Renters. Ailo tries to railroad you into paying fees. Use the MANUAL payment to avoid fees. If the next payment is “declined” it’s not your bank it’s Ailo trying to pucsh you into paying fees. To avoid this select Pay Rent then on next page select CHANGE next to your account number. Then the fee free Rent payment option which is LEGALLY REQUIRED under Australian LAW pops up.

Clunky, badly designed, in-app fees galore

SookieTrash on

This app takes the concept of bank transfers and makes it unnecessarily difficult, over complicated and frustrating. The rental agency I rent from have just introduced this app as the only payment option for paying rent and bills and it’s made everything much more difficult. Ailo also add their own charges to transactions. Cheers Ailo, you’re profiting off people already struggling in a difficult housing market.

There is no reason for this app to exist.

I’m just so tired of all this… on

We have been living in this rental property for 5 years, paying via automatic recurring direct deposit with absolutely no issues. Owner sells the property, new owners via Ray White, now we’re being forced to pay rent via this garbage 3rd party app, which wants to charge us for the “convenience” of providing a service we have been using for free via our bank for years. Oh, but there’s a “fee free” option, so they can say they’re compliant with various state rental laws. You still gotta use the app, but for “free” it doesn’t remember your details, so you have to re-enter everything every fortnight. This app is a huge step backwards in every way, and as a renter, you now get to pay for the privilege of *paying your rent* Aren’t you feeling so lucky! Thanks Ray White!

Charges me to remember my bank details

normi888 on

Switching to Ailo is a significantly worse experience than just paying by bank transfer. With a bank transfer my bank will remember the details and not charge me for the “privilege” or remembering them. I can even set up a direct debit to set and forget. Now, unless I want to pay a fee, I need to manually enter my details each time - even though it remembers them already it will charge me for the convenience of using the remembered values. I wish I could just pay rent by bank transfer.

Another ap

Yet another useless ap that replaces real people at a desk in an office

The fees

18182634839 on

I find this app trash as it charges you $5.95 dollars too pay your rent on average each year they make over $500 off you just paying rent absolutely garbage

Bank fees for no service

Lachlan1985 on

This app has made no difference in our communication with our landlord or agent; it all continues to happen effectively through phone calls and text messages. It has however made it much harder to pay rent without incurring additional fees - the only method being to manually add ones details every month… otherwise it charges high rates for what our (and every other) bank was doing for free before our agents switched to the app.

Processing fees suck

_CJSR on

I agree with the above. The app is well designed and easy to use and it’s a great way to communicate with the agent. I like the transparency of being able to see my ledger etc. but honestly I would just prefer to bank transfer and email. Why should I pay an extra $200 a year because of processing fees? This should be worn by the agency or by the landlord.
