What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is an embedded SIM card. It's built into your phone's hardware and functions like a physical SIM. But it works 100% digitally.

eSIM FAQ
What does an Airalo eSIM plan come with?
- An Airalo package comes with data (e.g., 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, etc.) valid for a specified time period (e.g., 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, etc.). If you run out of data or your validity period expires, you can top up your eSIM or download a new one right from the Airalo app.
How much does it cost?
- eSIMs from Airalo start from US$4.50 for 1GB of data.
Does an eSIM come with a number?
- Some eSIMs, including our Global Discover+ eSIM, come with a phone number so you can call, text, and access data. Check your eSIM's description for details.
What devices are ready?

- Digital nomads who need to stay connected to work while abroad.
- Crew members (e.g., seafarers, flight attendants, etc.) who need to stay connected while they travel.
- Anyone who wants an easy and affordable data alternative to their home network.
Can I use my SIM card at the same time?
Yes! Most devices allow you to use multiple SIMs and/or eSIMs simultaneously. You can keep your primary line active to receive text messages, calls, and 2FA authentication (but remember, they'll be subject to roaming fees).

Happy travels!

Still unable to access data even though all instructions fillowed

Data great but calls & sms not

Australia

Purchased package with data, calls and sms. Data is excellent but unable to use remainder of package despite re-reading instructions. Have previously purchased data only and this works perfectly.

eSIM Use in Pakistan

Honestly I was a bit skeptical of it would work well or not. But surprising it is working decently. I am getting a relatively constant down speeds of 12-40 Mbps and up speeds 5-20 Mbps. Ping is high as they route through Singapore 200-1400ms. There has only a couple of instances where network was not working, but fixed itself when I switched to airplane mode and back. Only thing I’d want more is more data as it is less for 30days ideal around 80 GBs or even unlimited. Fastest speeds when compared to Saily and Holafly (0.1 down and 0.5 up; 15 down and 5 up in Mbps, respectively).

Don’t buy!

The whole process was extremely frustrating and even with the online chat I found myself going round in circles. Sometimes it is easier and cheaper to get a local sim. Although my sim should hopefully get refunded it wasted almost a full day going back and forth changing phone settings and talking with the AI chat and customer service.

Easy and relaxed

It was easy to install. Easy to buy an eSIM. Easy for it to work when I landed in UsA and worked all the time. Easy. Thanks so much.

Lifesaver for Aussies

This app was a lifesaver for me, Australian data is so expensive and not reliable, this app was amazing, cheap and always worked!

Melbourne to New York for Xmas

Australia

A bit tricky to initially buy and set up. However this is all done before leaving the country and it was so easy to just switch to the eSIM as soon as the plane landed. Never had an issue the whole time we were away.

Avoid at all costs!!

The “Global” eSIM doesn’t work in Italy! My son, wife and I all had Airalo esims for our Europe holiday and the moment we crossed into Italy, we lost all service. The chatbot was useless and referred me to a human, who NEVER ANSWERED THE CHAT. Disgraceful service and NOT worth the money!

really good

Terrible app. Never use this

GH ours bod on

Paid for unlimited. Days didn’t work. Got on chat with the company and was left there with no answers. Horrible app. Doesn’t work. Go elsewhere.
