Surprisingly Easy
I searched online at my home in Bangkok for eSIM to be used in Japan and came across this one and it was recommended by my son who’s is a computer engineer and had good experience with it while in Japan but I am so low tech, so unsure about result but price isn’t bad, so I gave it a try. Arrived Japan and WOW, everything works!

Airalo provided me with reliable service in my previous two trips at good prices. Luckily, my most recent destination allowed me to obtain a 50% discount. The purchasing and activation process was guided and was very easy. The app’s UX and UI is well designed. Slick interface and a pleasure to use.

I normally pay for my home country international data roaming, but since I was running out of data, I decided to give Airalo a try. OMG! It worked as a bliss and the fares are very competitive! They’re available virtually anywhere in the world! They have Global, Regional and Local eSIMs. If you’re visiting just one country, I recommend you to go for the local eSIM they offer, as it’s way much cheaper.
