What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is an embedded SIM card. It's built into your phone's hardware and functions like a physical SIM. But it works 100% digitally.

Simply download an eSIM, install it on your device, and connect to a mobile network when you arrive at your destination!
How does it work?
1. Install the Airalo app.
2. Purchase an eSIM plan for your travel destination.

eSIM FAQ
What does an Airalo eSIM plan come with?
- An Airalo package comes with data (e.g., 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, etc.) valid for a specified time period (e.g., 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, etc.). If you run out of data or your validity period expires, you can top up your eSIM or download a new one right from the Airalo app.
How much does it cost?
- eSIMs from Airalo start from US$4.50 for 1GB of data.
Does an eSIM come with a number?
- Some eSIMs, including our Global Discover+ eSIM, come with a phone number so you can call, text, and access data. Check your eSIM's description for details.
What devices are ready?
- You can find a regularly updated list of eSIM-compatible devices at this link:

Who is Airalo best for?
- Anyone who travels, whether it's for business or vacation.
- Digital nomads who need to stay connected to work while abroad.
- Crew members (e.g., seafarers, flight attendants, etc.) who need to stay connected while they travel.
- Anyone who wants an easy and affordable data alternative to their home network.
Can I use my SIM card at the same time?
Yes! Most devices allow you to use multiple SIMs and/or eSIMs simultaneously. You can keep your primary line active to receive text messages, calls, and 2FA authentication (but remember, they'll be subject to roaming fees).

Happy travels!

Scam??

Firebrand999 on

United States

It didn’t work and I ended up paying over $400 in fees to my carrier… at least I found out about my carrier’s automatic day pass so I won’t get really over charged in the future!

Disappointed

janet moreno on

United States

I was excited when I learned about this app since I was gone on vacation to Mexico, and IPhone 15 does not have a SIM card any more. Once I paid for the service it was very complicated to use. (Very tricky and definitely not friendly user) There were a lot of changes we needed to do on the settings and it would only work at times it’s supposed to give you data regardless, if having Wi-Fi or not which it never did and once back in the states, it left all my settings mixed

Superior Data Service for a decent fee

DJ Jeff Foster on

My wife and I both use a Airalo for several years when we travel abroad. The date of service is amazing. Nothing gets wasted. I recommend them to everyone who travels who doesn’t want to spend a fortune with their current carrier.

Multiple esims and countries used

Nomad 123 on

United States

Poor connection in most countries I’ve used Airalo in. The multi country eSIM works but not very well and the country specific esims work a little better at least in Thailand but the Cambodia one is terrible.

Super slow data speeds for canada

Jerrys445566 on

United States

Purchased their eSim for Canada and the data connection was too slow even in the middle of a town or city. Google maps could not load. We were saved by the GPS in our rental car. Avoid for Canada.

Second time.. no luck!

Alerimina on

United States

I bought this eSIM for the second time after a few months from the first positive experience, but this time has been a total failure! And not just me , also my 2 kids with different esims, in the same country, we are all having huge issues, no reception, never working, very poor accountability and no matching with the instructions steps and what we have in the settings!! Very very bad!!
