Damages - One sided - -100

Careful when staying at Airbnb places. I am getting charge for a damage I didn’t create. Host said to turn off all ac and lights, which I understand to save bills and prevent any fire. But if they’re appliance don’t work/ turn on for their next guest , it is your fault. So how can we prevent ourselves from that? I honestly don’t know because Airbnb don’t provide us (guests) steps to help us not get conned from these things. They would ask for evidence but what proof can you provide when you left everything working or not damage? The only proof they (host) gave me is a man fixing their Ac board unit but cannot prove me when they last updated/ changed their Ac board unit. So I will not be using Airbnb anymore. I will be back in hotels. I only did Airbnb because it’s more convenient with a 1yr old. In conclusion, Airbnb does not protect guests only their host. Maybe if you can provide proof but we as guest don’t just start taking videos and photos at the end of our stay thinking will get scam. If you’re booking in the Philippines be wary. I’m Filipino this happens in the Philippines. I did another Airbnb in the Philippines and they had an assistant to go around the house during check in and check out so it was more comfortable for me because she was able to check for us. But this review I’m doing is for pioneer woodlands condominium in Mandaluyong.

These guys have lost the plot

They’ve forgotten what made them a good company. They no longer look after their customers but let the hosts dictate their service standards. We booked a place in Alyieska, Alaska but when we activated the booking the place was in Anchorage. The host kept the full amount ($537) because he felt vacuuming his own house was worth that much. Air bnb let him keep it. PayPal got it back for us. I will NEVER use these wankers again.

Technical support

Technical support works terribly, I'm waiting for an answer all day, it's gone, identity confirmation is done and the fact that the house was reserved, the application does not show, terrible service.

It a great app to find some nice escape but I don’t understand why you can’t have the option to filter your research for your specific needs like prices, km radius, beds, spa included. Very frustrating

Never ever book anything where the host needs to confirm the booking. Host doesn’t confirm and disappears for several hours, obviously I have to find another accommodation then BAM host accepts after being missing for hours. Instantly message to say it’s not approved, then hours of phone support and wasted time trying to resolve this. They are attempting to steal 300$. How can a booking be confirmed when host takes several hours. Expected Airbnb support to resolve simple issue is totally useless. Find other booking apps.

Worst experience, I will never deal with this company again

Airbnb left me under the mercy of the host providing zero support. They got their full commission regardless of my emergency health situation and refused even to communicate with the host and asked me to deal with it myself!

Terrible app, terrible service

Bookings are denied without any reason provided. Told to wait 24 hours for a specialist to review, only to receive a generated email that essentially tells you to shove it. Airbnb ruined my vacation.

Ipad air2 no longer supported

interpaulc on

Airbnb on my ipad is no longer working. The latest version requires ios 16 while ipad air2 is stuck to ios 15.8. This ipad purchased 6 years ago with 128 gb and mobile is still in perfect shape and works fine. Yes Apple are the ones to blame first as they make their product obsolete on purpose to sell more devices. But airbnb could offer a version that is ios 15 compatible. Ios 16 is slower than 15, no good reason to upgrade. Very disapointed!

Joke what a joke

I can’t update my Airbnb app become my iPhone not a 16 or later? I have to download the latest version but my phone isn’t compatible so back and forth forth and back we go. No luck. So I’m using the online version on my iPhone. So much fun. Doesn’t fit the screen. In this day and age? Really Airbnb …. I’ve made you so much money get with the times.
