I have always enjoyed Airbnb as a guest but hosting has been a terrible experience. Guests can make false complaints and Airbnb issues full refunds without reviewing the situation or speaking to the host. This allows scammers to stay for free while the host is left covering costs. Support cannot help because the company rules leave hosts completely unprotected. It is a shame because the platform could be great if it actually protected hosts.

A holiday not to forget. Absolute amazing scenery on the lake. The apartment was really lovely and clear with breathtaking views of sunrise over the mountains. A relaxing atmosphere in such a lovely comfortable apartment. We highly recommend for family and friends to visit this magical place

While everything is working well there is no problem but I recently got a booking cancelled by Airbnb. The guest had already spent 5 nights at my place so I had to deal with her myself, no compensation received and customer care’s replies were standard idiotic.

We rented a place in Greece with three months in advance and two days before our trip the host cancelled the booking and airbnb gave us 24 euro as a compensation. We had to rent a more expensive airbnb with a lower rating and less rooms due the short notice, the customer care agent didn’t speak English properly and I was on the phone one hour calling an international phone number and at the end no resolution was provided. This is unfair with clients because if it was me canceling two days before the check in date the host is not returning the money for the entire booking, however if they are one canceling we will get just 24 euro. This is abuse with customers

Rented a place for 2 days for 380 euros just to find out it was a scam and I’m not able to get my money back through airbnb however I am trying with my bank so be careful there are still scams on this app and air bnb won’t help you.

Well I booked my room in Lisbon, and the owner of the place was sending me a weird messages, requesting a video call over what’s app with me. I have canceled my booking, since I didn’t felt safe and of course I lost my money, even after presenting the evidence, I lost 150e no one did anything, they sent me a parcial refund. I never felt like this, as a woman, single traveler, and negligence of the company i will never book a place over this app. So the person who is renting that place, is still there having people over, which I don’t agree with. So basically I felt unsafe to stay there, after his messages canceled the reservation and got only the partial refund. Very unprofessional.

Absolutely love the company Airbnb , the organization is perfect .I am Charles Zammit from Gzira , Malta I am trying to update my application but it is saying I need a 14.0 version , All I want to do is delete my subscription and close completely as I am an older vulnerable person and cannot accepts any more guests at my apartment. The most user friendly App. The only thing that worries me is when I do Syncing it does not work anymore.

It would help if you provide a short concise description of the steps to register before you actually register. It would avoid mad rushes for id’s credit cards& photos. Appreciate the security issues.
