Banned with no explanation
Got banned without explanation even though had not used AirBnb for 3+ years.
Customer service is terrible, provide no details (apart from a standard nothing burger "it breaks our T&C - never stating what clause or anything) and then close the case and state no more resource will be spent on it.
After researching online it seems to be a common problem and the likely scenario is that your account has been hacked and used for fraud and rather than let you know about it they just ban you for life.
The worst accommodation booking agent
The worst accommodation booking agent, they don’t respond to the customer’s complaints and they don’t care about the customer at all
Impossible to contact a real person
Generally a good facility. It’s just impossible to contact anyone and get real help instead just the bot. Hosts are not really protected because all info they get from the requesting guests is a first name, nothing else! no photo, no other identity certification and if they don’t have any reviews it’s very difficult to judge for hosts. Several attempts to contact Airbnb about it failed because they only have generated answers.
Please enable sorting properties out
It’s ridiculous that you can’t sort out the properties by prices (cheap to expensive and viceversa) The filter for prices also doesn’t work. It’s hard to find something within a budget when it’s showing 1000+ properties randomly. Fix that please!
Dodgy dscabs
Airbnb feeds off the hurt whn you have to cancel at short ntice, thy enjoy charging a cancellation fee and don’t accpt valid excuses, such as a group asking for two many beds at the last minute for anoth individual.
Host policy
The app is good but the policy is unfair. Guests can cancel their booking at any point in time (in middle of their stay) and they don’t get charged. However, when a host cancels the booking even 30 days in advance they get $50USD penalty and add on charges. Airbnb team please look into it.
Unethical & deceitful
Allowing & profiting off listings in OPTs is extremely unethical - shame on you. The deceit comes in when airbnb announced it would withdraw those listings, publicly, & then go back on that decision. This may have created a false impression for many. The time is now to stop operating in such regions.
Please fix the error
Constantly getting errors. App not in sync with web. It doesn’t reflect my current bookings. Or it continues to appear and disappear.
Booking.com is cheaper
AirBnB rejected our stay due to some ‘potential unauthorised party’ policy which is absolutely idiotic considering we were only 4 people and none of us drink. Managed to book the exact same property on booking.com for nearly $200 cheaper because it didn’t include the ‘AirBnb fee’
Honestly, screw this company it’s gone completely downhill.
Use Booking.com instead, it’s much less drama and better value.
Support apartheid
I used Airbnb a bunch of times, until I learned that they allow the listing of regions illegally occupied in Palestine by Israeli settlers. This’s unacceptable! Airbnb is supporting an apartheid regime and the illegal occupation. It even has houses that were stolen from Palestinians listed to be rented.
