There are too many scams on air bnb, so many fake accounts and listings. It’s easy to fall prey. No protection for home seekers even though air bnb charges an additional, exorbitant fee. You’re totally at the mercy of the home owners.

Nigerians users on Airbnb finds it difficult to make payment on Airbnb, We have a lot of Nigerian properties listed on the app and I believe Airbnb is suppose to have the option already!

Hosting on this app can be a bummer, I see a message on my mail, but it won’t show up on the app… I’ve refreshed et al… now I’m here to check for updates and complain. It’s just stressful guys.

Worst company out there. The lack of competition in this market makes airbnb sloppy with their service. Delayed responses to inquire, terrible process in decision making to resolve complaints. 2 stars is for using this platform for about 4 years; I can tell, it's an unreliable platform when you need the most. DO NOT INSTALL or use this platform for your peace of mind. When I got stuck, a local shortlet service company came to my aid, which you will find online in the areas you want to visit. They are usually competitive and will break a back to please clients. It's a good bye for me and loved ones ✌🏾

I’ve read other reviews and it seems what I’m writing is really not new. Their customer support is non existent. I have been locked out of my account for no reason and to contact customer support I have to be logged in. When I try to log in it says account deactivated. So how do I get in touch with customer support to complain about this unfair act? And it’s a shame nobody regulates the actions of these online scammers. Disappointing really. Anybody can just do whatever they want online and get away with it.

Hello. The application is great for sourcing out accomodation and it has been of immense help but I believe the Nigerian Naira option should be made available on the app as this would help Nigerians know the value of a property without having to keep converting to be sure of the amount to pay. Kindly look into this in your next update.

I can’t fill in my address in the host section, it keeps saying an error occurred

Airbnb canceled my reservation at the behest of the host before I could check in! I’ve contacted numerous support and none has been able to help get my full refund. I feel scammed and can’t believe they want to get away with it.

I’m both a host and a guest. So I can say from personal experience, Airbnb is EXCEEDINGLY biased against hosts and in favor of guests when there are complaints. It’s weird, I cannot understand it. Guests do a lot of sh#*t and get away with it when they make trumped up reports and get refunded but the host bears ALL the losses from lost revenue! From damages caused by guests to fictitious claims of poor experience by guests it’s no wonder a lot of other hosts I know are looking for an alternative platform to list their properties. I have made claims several times when things get damaged in my listing, what do I get? Radio silence for weeks. Nothing actually. No follow up. No feedback from Airbnb. One guest reports that the heaters are not hot enough and he gets refunded within a few hours! Very exploitative set y’all! 👏👏😡

It made my life easy. I no longer get worried over good accommodation, good restaurants, places to visit etc. There’s always something affordable for everyone
