Full of listings that ‘hosts’ don’t actually have and ‘Hosts’ that don’t respond at all.
Hello my name is Aquan Gee at first everything was okay at first until last night they deactivated my account hopefully because I signed in to a new phone when I book then they refunded the payment but still waiting for my refund and also I’m still waiting on getting in contact with the security team or safety now this have a worst experience
It has become expensive and unreliable. I feel like I spend way too much for what I get and it’s always a ton of work. Hotels or VRBO are better.
Left a bathroom bag and some silver isotoner bedroom shoes . Tried to get a response and never got a clear response. Was hopeful that the cleaning people would turn into office and would contact us. The bathroom bad had hair bows and accessories, but a pair of gold circle earrings with diamonds that were given to me by my uncle which is now deceased. Sentimental items. No call and clear response. Idk about that you’d think they’d contact the last renter to try and get the items to the rightful owners.
We have been renting via Airbnb and have been listing a property with Airbnb for a couple of years. We have not encountered any major issues with renting/renters and it seemed like a great service. We unfortunately got to experience firsthand how terrible their customer service and support is on our last trip. We came to check in at an owners place and found it to smell strongly of marijuana/weed and the owner had thrown fitted bedsheets over his couches to hide how disgusting they were. Within 15 minutes of checking in we called Airbnb to request a refund and to move to a different rental and we were told that they would start working on the process and call back quickly. We inquired about getting a full refund and were advised not to cancel as this would indeed result in a partial refund. Over the next 24 hours we received zero calls from AirBnB support, only sparse nonspecific messages stating they were looking into the issue. They did not respond to messages in a timely fashion, taking up to six hours. Calling Airbnb support resulted in them referring us to the original Airbnb support agent that we discussed the case with, the same agent who was not responding to our messages or calling us back. 24 hours later, we were sent a message stating the owner had refused to refund us and we would only get a partial refund, one that includes full Airbnb fees, taxes, and a cleaning fee, despite not having actually stayed at the unit. To be specific we received $500 back from our $1400 reservation. We obviously will be avoiding Airbnb in the future and will be pulling our listing from this service as well; this company is no good and is quite useless when it comes to actually dealing with important matters.
sometimes it feels like the company and the host are in cahoots to take people’s money. The support is slow and the host get away with a lot beware when booking and contact host ahead of time.
Airbnb allows 10+ person homes to be listed on the app, but don’t try to book one or you will be blocked for “potential partying”. Tried calling customer service as I have perfect review score over many years, but they said your previous reviews are not taken into account. If that’s not a factor, WHAT IS???? Used to be a great service, but has taken a dive in recent years.
Terrible company and terrible support ! I will never consider again
Recently my CC was charged multiple times when attempting to book a rental. The error message instructed me to “please try again” indicating that the transaction didn’t go through. Little did I know that with each try it was withdrawing the full rental price each time. As a result my bank account is overdrawn and when I explained to their support about the issue they acknowledged the issue but tried to blame me for following their error message instructions to try again. Now I have to wait for 5-15 days for my money to be returned and there will be no remedy or compensation for my bank fees and extreme inconvenience. Just Terrible!
