Explore the airport, meet and chat with friends, play games and have fun. Children can explore the busy world of the airport through role play with fun characters and an environment filled with safe, creative and open-ended play. Andy, the Controller of Intercity Airport, is helped by his faithful friend Tilly and a team of busy little vehicles including Trunk and Stella. Together they make every day at the airport run smoothly. Help the wacky looking airport vehicles load and unload the planes to earn virtual coins. Use your coins to get uniforms and clothes to play other roles and characters with special features in the airport shop. Now you can have even more fun with your own personal hangar space to customise, decorate and call your own, new airport pets, plus explore the hair salon and the paper airplane game. I must admit this game baffled me at first glance as there were no immediate instructions on our first try. But that didn't seem to stop my two boys from taking my phone hostage to play on it for a full 2 hours! The boys were able to figure out loads of stuff on their own very easily and actually the open-ended style of play is one of my favourite features. It's very creative, beautifully designed and the kids are learning about airports and how things work. The boys love unlocking new features and earning coins to enhance their avatars. They also enjoy 'chatting' with new friends online (and I appreciate that the app uses pre-set phrases so all the interaction with other kids is perfectly benign). He was hugely engrossed in working around an airport, while I enjoyed the fact that it was not just brainless playing. The social aspect is amazing, the kids interact in a hermetically sealed chamber of pre-loaded conversation bubbles: they cannot speak outside of scripted questions and answers (great for reading skills).
