New update, no improvement. Clunky, jumps all over the place, can not adjust the page on the screen. VERY FRUSTRATING!
Reading this paper is a challenge. It’s writings are clear, informative, pretty correct and good coverage. My one criticism is that they are leftist Democratic in nature and one sided. I sometimes cannot believe the editorials that lack truthfulness.
I understand that you need advertising, but keep it in the paper copy. The new app is so busy trying to get in extra ads that it has all kinds of bugs. I thought that an e-edition was to transmit a copy of the print edition. The old app did that and only that.
I’ve gone round and round in this app without getting anywhere. I am trying to manage my subscription and temporarily suspend delivery, but I don’t seem to be able to do that anymore.
I have been charged every month $14.99) and my online subscription NEVER works. I’m always prompted to “Subscribe” even though the app shows “Good Afternoon Stephen” which would imply I’m correctly signed into my account. Horrible. I am cancelling my weekend paper subscription and the electronic version as well. They should provide a total refund for the complete lack of access. If I could give negative stars I would.
Difficult to use. Won’t open and start with front page Does anyone there actually read your paper each day to see how it’s working???
Great way to stay on top of local news and support journalism.
Akron Beacon Journal now features pop-up ads that last 5-10 seconds before you can close them and go back to reading the paper. They print ads in their e-newspaper. They charge me a subscription. Apparently that isn’t enough. There not-so-subtle anti-Cleveland news bias, except when it comes to the Browns, Cavs, and Guardians is also an irritant. Summit, Portage, Stark, Medina, and Tuscarawas, counties can be mentioned, but Cuyahoga? Never. I dislike Cleveland’s daily newspaper with its left-wing bias. I was hoping ABJ would be better. To a degree it is but too much of it is irrelevant for me. So annoying navigation on my iPhone coupled with a high percentage of uninteresting content has me on the verge of cancellation.
Bringing me up-to-date news of interest, and I appreciate it!
