By sharing common experiences and applying the Al-Anon principles, families and friends of alcoholics can bring positive changes to their individual situations, whether or not the alcoholic admits the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help. The Al-Anon program is based on the Twelve Steps (adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous), which we try, little by little, one day at a time, to apply to our lives, along with our slogans and the Serenity Prayer. The loving interchange of help among members and daily reading of Al-Anon literature thus make us ready to receive the priceless gift of serenity. The official mobile app of the Al-Anon Family Groups is designed to provide an easy way for anyone affected by someone else’s drinking to find hope and help, whether they can attend a face-to-face meeting or not. Features include: - Al-Anon meetings powered by Zoom with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance enabled. In the app you will see this added security is identified by a green shield inside the meeting. The HIPAA compliance provides the following additional securities: -- Disallows cloud recordings -- Forces out of meeting chat encryption on -- Forces encryption for 3rd party endpoints -- Disables streaming to any service that only supports RTMP -- Prevents copying or saving meeting chats - An opportunity to connect with Al-Anon friends and chat privately with them - A built-in private journal, which you can use to track your recovery - A news feed where you can share with your Al-Anon friends what is on your mind; you can also view what’s on your friends’ minds. - An opportunity to subscribe to a daily dose of Al-Anon members’ experience, strength, and hope. - An opportunity to easily contribute to the World Service Office. After waiting a couple days, I opened the app again and it asked to update, and I was hopeful. Still doesn’t work. -- NCityKitty, 2025-08-12 ### ***-- "Can’t access meetings- error message" Can’t access meeting schedule! -- TracyBergie, 2025-08-10 ### ****- "Great App - Just Needs A Couple Things" This is a great app, and is well built. It’s intuitive, simple, secure, and has most of the features one would want in an app such as this. I’m appreciative of the tons of work that the team has put into this app. Two notes for improvement - it would be great to have an iPad optimized version of the app. It’s a little clunky on the iPad, and the upscaling that it does automatically is not great. Also, it would be helpful if this app could run in the background so that I can switch between apps and not have it pause/kick me out of the meeting when the app is minimized. Thank you for your service! -- MindfulDogLover, 2025-08-09 ### **--- "App continues to decline. New update forces camera on when joining and other bugs." A recent update now enables video whenever I join a meeting. No way to disable this, I have to first point my phone away from me, join, then immediately turn off my camera. App must be in foreground to listen to a meeting. Meetings in the app should also be available directly with Zoom. Don’t force us to use the app. -- spwalker, 2025-07-30 ### *---- "I Can’t Log On" Unable to log on. Multiple user name variations have been tried, and I follow the directions. I’ve been trying for weeks and now throw in the towel. An app like this could really have helped but I can’t even get on and find current meetings or any help. Thanks Al Anon for this, and no evening meetings where I live. You claim to help, but finding so very little help. At the very least a basic website should be maintained and offered for people who quite frankly are desperate. I am desperate, depressed and out of strength. -- MegH714, 2025-07-12 ### ***** "Easy way to join meetings" I love this app, it’s amazing for connecting with people and attending meetings all throughout the day. So helpful, and thank you to the organizers! -- Jade - Mental Health Coach, 2025-07-02 ### *---- "Where are they??" I’ve looked over and over again to find a meeting. Where are they?? Are we afraid to go to a meeting?? Do we hate looking at others in the same room because why?? -- Nickname or display name ???, 2025-06-27 ### *---- "PLEASE FIX BUG" CANNOT SWITCH BETWEEN APPS!! -- Paula scarpaci, 2025-06-14 ### **--- "Expect several days of non-operation after each iOS update." Consistently locking thousands of people in need out of meetings after each iOS update does not honor what AFG is supposed to be. Fix it. Hire real app developers that can regression test on iPhones. -- Dee Spies, 2025-06-14 ### *---- "Al-Anon Family Groups" This app was better before the upgrade! Now it’s been crashing on me with anything I do. Not a happy member of this app. -- Continued excellence, 2025-06-13 [View all Al-Anon Family Groups reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Al-Anon Family Groups In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Today's Reflection | $19.99 | | La reflexión de hoy | $19.99 | | Réflexion du jour | $19.99 | ## Al-Anon Family Groups Discovered Keywords -
