## Aladdin Schools Connect Description
The Aladdin App gives parents, teachers and administrators access to relevant student information and delivers push notifications from your school directly to your device.

Discover some of the major benefits of Aladdin Connect for both parents and school including:

• Book your parent teacher meetings instantly with zero hassle
• Keep up to date with your child's records throughout the school year
• Never miss an update from the school with app messaging
• Reduce the need for notes through the submission of absence reasons
• Submit permissions to the school with the tap of a button


Make sure you check each of the following areas:

• Confirm that your school is currently subscribed to Aladdin Connect and you have completed the registration process with your unique link sent by the school.

• Make sure your phone is marked as a ‘Personal Device’ in login settings in order to receive app notifications.

• If you wish to remain logged in please either select "keep me signed in" or "use biometrics" from the login settings page.
Please Note: Your device will need to be password protected and/or have biometrics setup for this option.

Both the app and the website are dreadful. Really poor. The app does not allow me to temporarily leave the app to verify payment through my online banking application. This requires me to use two devices simultaneously, which is ridiculous.
Furthermore, the lack of a web portal for ePayments is a significant limitation. This restricts users to using the app exclusively for online payments, which is also difficult.

### *---- "It treats my iphone as a new device on every app launch"
I’m using the latest iOS and app version. This app never saves my login data. On every app launch I’m logged out, my phone is treated like a new device, the app asks me for my credentials, I provide them, select that my device is a personal device, I select that I want to be kept logged in (at which point I get an email that I logged with a new device). After that, shutting off the screen or the app, always results in losing the login information and my phone being treated as a new device. I literally have to relog on every app launch; incredibly frustrating to have to battle basic functionality implemented poorly.

I receive notifications for new Aladdin messages on my phone, but whenever I try to open the app and read them I get a completely empty white screen (when I first open the app I see the login screen for a split second - I should already be authenticated - then it loads the blank screen). I’ve tried quitting and restarting the app, but no change. This has been happening for a couple weeks at least.

The iOS app could use some love. Aladdin in a browser works pretty well, but the iOS app is painful to use:

- It forces me to select my kids’ school every time I open the app. Multi-school support is great, but if I only have one school configured, just open that one. 
- The noticeboard takes 11 seconds to load (vs 2s in a browser)
- iOS Notifications don’t include any context, just “Message, click to view details”
- Clicking on a notification doesn’t open the message it’s related to. It just brings me to the “select your school” page
