Great app, as a keen cyclist and hiker has saved me on several occasions. Dropped a star as the complication icon on my watch face shows as “error” although if you tap the app works. Purchased the widgets but that didn’t help.
This is an excellent graphic app for warning you about impending rain. Just what it says on the tin - Rain Alarm! It show you an animated sequence of rain radar images for your chosen or current location (you can choose either). Adjust the number of images <14 and time between each 5 to 120 mins. So I can adjust anywhere between to see a full 24hr playback or the last hour in detail. I normally leave it on 15 min x 13 images. Special bit is of course the alarm. You can customise to warn you of rain being detected in your vicinity BEFORE it gets to you! Many adjustable settings to do with search radius, sensitivity, intensity, area, sector (in uk most rain comes from SW direction). You are bound to be able to get the warnings you need - as I have and now rarely change the alarm settings. Plus a simple weather forecast for your area. I do use the Apple weather app to get the next 60min rain forecast in mm of rain per min. The two apps work very well together for my needs. Recent bonus for us in Europe is the app now seems to have coverage for France which I believe was only missing before due to licensing costs. Oh yes I long ago paid to remove adverts and get extra settings but the free app works fine.
It showed no rain for approx 5 hours. We got all the gear out to do a project in the garden and an hour later it poured down. The app showed it was clear, no rain near us. Can’t trust it, waist of money.
Please fix this. I have been using the pro version of this for many years and love it. I have recently switched to the ios version but my location is not visible when it’s under any rainfall for some reason. Makes it difficult to use.
Have used this app for years and used to love it. But just lately, the coverage seems to be getting less and less for much of Europe. Now not even all of Ireland is visible, so can’t see what’s coming to Uk. Is there any hope of this improving or should I look for another app?
Stopped using it. The adverts took over Not useful enough to pay for The uk met office does it for free Sorry
Gives me a pretty good idea when it is going to rain, all I need. Shame the adverts get is the way but that is the price you pay for not paying. However if I go to the web version I don’t get those intrusive adverts.
Very disappointed that this appears to have stopped working. I’ve used it for a number of years and it was very reliable.
Have no problem with ads popping up on the app, but now the annoying sounds from one particular space invader shoot em up game continues when back to the radar view. I know I could mute but what a nuisance.
