There are many basic things that aren’t possible on the app, and it crashes regularly. Importantly, I added my Global Entry number (one the site) after checking in. Even though I regenerated the boarding pass, TSA Pre did not appear on my mobile boarding pass and I was denied entry after waiting in line and had to start over in the long standard line.

The staff who helped us book our tickets, greeted us at the airport, got us on our plane, handled our luggage, flew our plane and assisted us during flight were attentive and hardworking and had great attitudes. We flew over Christmas when hundreds of flights were delayed and cancelled so we know they were under extra pressure and away from their own families. We appreciate their dedication to us as customers.

This app is pretty awkward to use. It is difficult to find your way around until you figure out how the developers are thinking. My biggest complaint about this app is that it does not leverage any of the auto fill abilities from iOS. That is a major problem for me. When you are being asked to fill in so much information, there’s no reason for an app on my device NOT to use available conveniences within the same device. Blame “security “ if you want, Alaska, but everyone else does, and it’s in one pretty safe enclosed system. I think it’s just being lazy on the part of the developers.

Some flights still have seats greyed out, which means you can’t change them. It’s a known issue that Alaska reps tell you to delete the app and reinstall to fix. It’s been 3 months + now. 

Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t. I fly every week w/ Alaska and it’s a hassle. 

Just fix it already!
