## Alen Air Reviews in United States

### ***-- "Incomprehensible"
Just terrible app. You add filters and they never show up on your dashboard. God only knows how you get to their settings pages again.

UPDATE: Still not user friendly, but you actually have to leave the app for awhile (ie 30min) and go back and they will finally show up. Added a star but ridiculous it doesn’t tell you that.

### ***** "Accurate and user friendly"
I have no complaints about the app. I love the air filter. Large open concept fist floor and the 75i is perfect. It’s really quite even at high speed. I replaced my airmega filter with Alen. Alen is so much quieter and provides larger airflow. The app works great. I don’t know why the average review is low. I would recommend the Alen and the Alen air app.
-- chuymyster Z, 2025-05-24

### *---- "Scheduling doesn’t work"
Scheduling on the app doesn’t work to put the purifier into auto mode
-- Vila2k, 2025-04-23

### *---- "Disappointing App"
I was hoping for a more useful app. It is not so much. An air purifier is basically a multispeed fan pulling air through a filter. So I would expect the app to display the current fan speed and allow me to change it. You can do neither with the app … it gives you no indication of the current speed or allow me to modify it. You need to walk to the machine.

The app does allow me to turn ON/OFF the ionizer (sometimes). For some reason the ability to change the ionizer settings disappears from the menu. Then you need to walk to the machine. Maybe the next time I use the app the ionizer setting has reappeared. It seems to be a bug

The app does display basic Air Quality info (I have a 75i vers 2). If you click the “i” it displays this message: “We provide more detail on device detail screen about PM 2.5
concentration”. So again, for this information you need to walk to the machine. I am sorry to say this, but why can’t the info be displayed in the app? It is crazy/lazy or incompetent …

As other reviews point out the app requires precise location to make the initial wifi connection. I see a reply from Alen saying this is untrue … but their statement is completely false. In the initial app settings you can turn precise location off .. but then later when connecting to wifi, a popup screen occurs that explains precise location is REQUIRED. I found no way around this, Alen obviously does not know what their app is doing.

The Alen app is what I would expect from a $75 purifier … not one that costs $900

### ****- "Celsius"
Nice app - please give the option in settings to switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius .

Thanks

### *---- "questionable ethics and unbelievable overreach"
while judgement on the efficacy of the alen filter products are reserved until we’ve used them for at least a year, the uninvited and unwelcome spam messages received through the alen app demonstrates the company has no respect for private information and views customers boundaries with disdain; if we hadn’t spent so much money and invested in the alen product framework, we would toss all their appliances in the nearest dumpster and walk quickly away for their intrusions.
-- tiggerWizard, 2025-03-19

### *---- "Location access required"
I can’t think of a single reason why location access should be required in order to connect a device.
-- Edit_Nickname:, 2025-02-07

### *---- "Doesn’t Save Device"
I’ve added my 35i to the app multiple times in the past 20 minutes, and every time I go to the dashboard the device is gone. Unless you have to pair a device every time you want to look at it? If so, the app is essentially worthless. I’m not going to spend 5 minutes adding a device every time I want to look at a chart or change a setting.
-- musicstudent14, 2025-01-17

### *---- "Terrible"
Constantly logs me out. It’s a fan app, not my banking application…
-- 2D>3D :) :), 2025-01-10

### **--- "Great Purifier -Awful App"
Love my 75i purifiers, but the app is awful. Constantly having to re-add purifiers, doesn’t keep WiFi network password, logs me out and deletes devices. Now trying to add a dropped device, wants me use a network that we don’t even have called simple-life. Not sure what this is about, but device won’t connect to our WiFi which is 2.4ghz. So frustrating.
