## Alien DVR Client Reviews in United Kingdom

### *---- "PLEASE UPDATE APP"
YOU NEED TO UPDATE APP ON IOS17. It is very buggy.
-- Pibble786, 2023-11-07

### *---- "Poor !"
Constantly having “Connection Failed” when trying to connect on my
Phone -
no customer service ?
Not user friendly
-- Peach290989, 2021-09-13

### *---- "Failed"
This app has now completely failed. Does not connect and continuously reports a failed connection. I have tried over internal and external IP and both connections fail. I have tested the ports and the data and RTSP ports are declared open over external IP but closed over internal IP. The router still shows port forwarding as defined in the set up instructions. I am now searching for a replacement DVR from HIK.
-- ajmerphull, 2021-08-17

### *---- "UPDATE NEEDED !!"
Now my Alien app only works when I’m on WiFi !
If I’m on 4G or 5G it don’t work ! Contacted my network provider & they said it needs a fresh update for the app !

Please update app !
-- Ammo17a, 2021-05-18

### *---- "Cannot access the cameras via the app when not in the building"
This app is pointless. I cannot access my cameras via the app unless I am in the same premises. How do I fix this? The app will not connect to WiFi. It says generate and give a scan code but doesn’t do anything else!
-- Abii---, 2021-02-22

### *---- "Connection failure"
Very dissatisfied and disappointed. After spending masses of money for cctv system that only worked correctly for 3 years. This being an updated version to my old 1. No customer support from the company unless paying £49 + vat for half an hour time. Said to get into with installer who has stopped using them. A waste of a lot of money shall not update system with Alien
-- Boxzl, 2021-01-18

### *---- "Terrible and cheap"
The DVR product and the app is cheap and unreliable.

The app interface and the DVR interface is not intuitive and difficult to navigate.

The app performs poorly and will require constant refreshing and sometimes reconfiguration to get a camera view, despite having 500Mb fibre broadband.

I've had the DVR product for less than 2 years and the cheap Seagate hard drive failed and I had to replace the drive (Western Digital) myself at my own cost because the manufacturer/supplier would not support my request for replacement under warranty.
-- guest592958, 2020-11-17

### **--- "Poor"
Had the system for years. It’s ok. Thought I’d download the app and try to view remotely unfortunately I failed my engineering degree so can’t make head nor tail out of it.
-- JohnnyKitchen, 2020-03-14

### ***-- "Good when it works"
Been ok for awhile. Remote viewing always subject to my I.P. Changing (Sky!) but now can’t view remote due to error code 44. No idea what’s changed but it’s frustrating that I can use my system as I wish to
-- Horse lover 122345325223, 2020-02-07

### *---- "Crap!"
No live view but I can see playback; stupid useless rubbish! I’ve tried everything! It just doesn’t work?
