It’s a beautiful day to be Alive! Alive is a fitness and wellness app by Whitney Simmons. Whitney has shared her fitness journey and workouts for many years and has now designed programming to help women with their journeys. Whitney is passionate about empowering women to shape the best versions of themselves mentally and physically. This app provides customized programs and workouts to push you to your limits, helping you achieve your fitness goals and get in the best shape of your life.

Alive was planned and designed to be as simple as possible and easy to use. Focusing specifically on the workout experience so you have confidence during your workouts. We are excited to continue improving and evolving the app with our Alive community in the process.

Features

Programs
Alive includes 20 different programs to choose from based on your personal goals. When you join a program you are guided through a full schedule of workouts that span over several weeks. This takes any guesswork out and keeps you focused on your goals.

Challenges
Alive strongly believes your mental health is just as important as your physical health and has designed 30-day challenges where those intersect. Each challenge contains daily tasks, mindful mobility, workouts, and journal prompts. These challenges will help you push your limits and uncover new habits to live a healthier day-to-day life.

Daily Workouts
Alive includes over 100 daily workouts that are split up into different categories (HiiT, Abs, Pull, etc) so you can decide what type of workout you want to do.

Journey
The path to a fit, healthy life is a journey, not an overnight process. The journey allows you to keep track of your progress by weight, photos, and a timeline of progress. Alive also has the capability of syncing your active minutes and weight data with Apple Health. Consistency is key so as you continually hit your goals the app will reward you with achievements along the way!


Subscriptions / Alive Premium
Alive is free to download and offers two Premium subscription options, Monthly and Annual. Both options include a 7-day trial. Alive Premium provides full access to the app including all programs and daily workouts.
Subscriptions will be charged to your credit card through your iTunes account. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You may manage your subscriptions and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after the purchase. After purchase, refunds will not be provided for any unused portion of the term. You agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions by downloading and subscribing to Alive Premium.

I’d love to mark an exercise complete! I don’t need to follow along with the app now as I’m familiar with the exercises so I’d like to be able to check off a workout in the plan as ‘done’!

i never write reviews but purchasing the yearly plan was the best idea for my health. I don’t feel pressured or discouraged to workout, I do it at my own pace. I love doing the 30 day challenge, I don’t even have to think about what to do! It’s already just there for me in the app. I’ve been using it for over a month! This is your sign to try! The only suggestion I would make is to add a few more grace seconds if you’re switching to a stand up workout to a floor workout, it takes me a few more seconds to switch :)

As someone who’s been working out for many years and had difficulty tracking my rest and progress, this app is so nice because it’s tailored to your difficulty level and it’s very realistic and enjoyable. You can easily do the entire workout and every exercise and actually enjoy it. This is the only app that I am impressed with and is 100% worth of money. Also, I love how important mental health and gratitude are in this app it isn’t just about working out. I 100% recommend this app for women especially 🥰

Requesting a hybrid program for runners!

I’ve been using this app for a few months and love the guided workouts, particularly that there are tutorials for every exercise, that you’re able to track the weights, and that there are alternate exercise options. It would be great to get a program targeted towards runners with exercises that would help optimize their performance, and more programs with 3 day a week options for people who do multiple forms of activity! Also, if the user was given the ability to personalize the programs to a greater extent (eg. By swapping or removing certain exercises, changing the prescribed # of reps/sets) that would be amazing.

I have such bad gym anxiety and never knew what to do in the gym but the easy to read work outs with video examples of what to do have been extremely helpful. I am now consistently going to the gym and excited about working out!

I love this app. I’ve been using it for a couple of years now and I really depend on it when i’m at the gym! Lots of variety of programs to follow or one-off workouts. I love that you can log your weights so I never have to remember anything. Stretches before and after are great, too. It’s helped me become more confident in the gym as it takes the stress out of it for me. I just show up, open the app, and away we go. I also love that it times the rest and sounds when it’s almost done, so I can go on other apps while I wait without having to check the time. On top of all the great functions, the interface is great and user friendly too. I used to get a couple of glitches, nothing too bad though, but they seem to be constantly working to improve that with updates. 100% recommend!

I just wanted to suggest a couple things for the app: 1. I really wish there was a way to look back on the workouts you’ve accomplished & see the full workout you’ve done & the weight & sets you completed. I know there’s the part with the name of the workout but you can’t actually go into it to see everything. 2. If there was a full body workout program, you have push, pull, & legs & multiple others but someday as I would like to just do a full body & there’s no way to track it without just mentally tracking it. I love the full body workouts in the challenges you put on but I think if there was a section for outside the challenges that would be great! Lastly, I wanted to let you know that I am so incredibly grateful for this app. It’s really brought back joy into me going to workout again. The diversity on all the different workouts with the multiple difficulties really help. Thank you for creating such an inclusive app for everyone you enjoy 🩷 I 100% suggest this app for everyone! I have been loving the journalling section & the way we can input weight, pictures to see the difference we’ve made has been amazing! Sorry for the long review but just so happy with this app & it’s only been 2 months! 💜
