Feed, pet, customize, and play minigames with the adorable Amaru while being rewarded for taking care of yourself! The game contains engaging goal-setting, mindfulness, and journal activities that provide a fun way to build focus and resilience to stress, anxiety, and depression. Explore the mysterious world of Enso to earn Collectibles, unlock Amaru’s story, and help him find his way home! “Finally, a game that promotes (and reinforces) positive, long-term mental-health habits! It's enjoyable & the artwork is beautifully done. Daily goals are customizable, but there is a variety of preset goals to choose from to get you started. It's calming at the end of your day and refreshing at the beginning. Doesn't leave you frustrated and mentally depleted like most other games. Plus, magic kitties!” “It's clear that the people behind this app care about helping people. I am genuinely floored about how focused the game is on self-care and the player. This is especially apparent in the 'free trial' aspect of this app- none of the self-care elements are behind a paywall, and they have an entire system for people to donate full copies of the game to those in financial need. The game is reassuring and never unhealthily pressures. also the animation is so good. I'd say more but I have no more space.” FINANCIAL NEED? READ BELOW! Want the full version but can’t afford it? No problem! All the self-care features in the app are completely FREE, and the game contains NO ADS! There will be points where you will be asked to pay to unlock story features or optional skins, but if you have financial need, you can apply for a free copy through our Keys for Those in Need Program. You’ll be given a place in line, and when a copy becomes available, you’ll receive it for FREE! We just ask that you pay it forward when you can! WHAT’S INSIDE: • A virtual pet to feed, pet, and care for! • Make Amaru your own with custom colors and skins! • Beautiful hand-drawn animation that evolves as your Bond grows stronger. • A goal-setting system that rewards you for self-care. • Journaling modes that promote free expression and support well-being. • 20+ guided breathing and mindfulness meditation recordings scientifically shown to reduce stress, anxiety and depression with voicing and subtitles. • Fun, low-pressure Mini-games to play with Amaru • Gorgeous environments with unique, relaxing soundscapes like ocean waves or falling rain. • 100+ lore-rich items revealing details about the fantasy world of Enso and its inhabitants. • Hundreds of player-submitted Affirmation messages to brighten your day! Amaru has helped me to reinvigorate my meditation practice. -- conpappa, 2025-08-23 ### **--- "Super Cute! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️" I really like the art style and the fluid animations. The man’s voice during the guided meditations is wonderful and soothing. The plot going on in the background about Amaru’s past is perfect to keep people engaged and coming back. I also really like the journalling system. I might just buy the full version! -- Sydorax Squid, 2025-08-20 ### ***** "Love this!" Amaru has really helped with my anxiety, and I love all the things you can do. He’s literally a winged therapy cat! -- ILikeFoxes7741, 2025-08-01 ### ****- "Love this!" This type of stuff isn’t everybody’s cup of tea but it sure is mine. I love this app because it has calmed down a lot and gives me time to think of only myself. It’s super fun and reminds me of a Tamagotchi. Though it is pretty blank and doesn’t feel like enough to do on there and Amaru’s reactions could have more detail so it feels like you’re actually interacting with it rather than it doing the same thing over and over again like a robot select a few different face expressions would be nice would like some more ways to earn money. Would totally recommend!:p -- >/, 2025-06-21 ### ***** "Helps my depression" This game is awesome -- Last_Eggo, 2025-06-17 ### ***** "Best virtual pet game I’ve played in years" I can’t even with this game. You care for a frightened kitten/bird/tressym by caring for yourself. Would highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a cute virtual pet and self care reminders or just cute fun at all. -- soulfire003, 2025-06-07 ### ***** "Calming sensation" It’s fun and relaxing to have download it and see for yourself! -- Star@2015, 2025-05-20 ### ***** "Amazing app" It’s an adorable app with great art, animations, and a thought out storyline. Really underrated. -- izzadonut, 2025-05-09 ### ***** "Purchased for me and my daughter" Mental health is very important to me🪷. My daughter has two little ones and I’m hoping this gives her some additional self-care opportunities. I was encouraged by the developers making it possible for my purchase to help others get the full version. Also that all mental health support items were available for all users. -- Idot123, 2025-05-03 ### ****- "Crash" It won’t stop crashing as I try to use it. First cutscene and I am crashed -- EchoFirefly, 2025-05-02 [View all Amaru: Self reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Amaru: Self In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Unlock + Colors Combo | $13.99 | | App Unlock | $9.99 | | Spooky Grove Pack | $4.99 | | Winter Grove Pack | $4.99 | | Custo-Maru | $4.99 | | All The Things | $24.99 | | Cosmic Texture Pack | $1.99 | | Fauna Texture Pack | $1.99 | | Flora Texture Pack | $1.99 | | Origins Puzzle Pack | $1.99 | ## Amaru: Self Discovered Keywords -
