The theme tab has the settings for spacing, not the actual themes that are in the layout tab. This defies logic. The contrast between the text and the background is seriously lacking, which makes the books a lot harder to read and adds more strain on the eyes. I would not consider this acceptable for a reading app. I should not be tinkering with my accessibility display settings in order to make the books readable.

This app is only for reading. If you want to browse between new boks in the store or buy a new book, you must still use the Safari browser.

When a new book is bought on a real Kindle device (not on a web page), the book appears in this application automatically. That does't work for free samples you take with your Kindle device. To get a free sample of a book you must again use an internet browser and select an option "send to iPad" under "Send sample now" button.
