Je trouve très agréable de lire sur un Kindle. Mais je suis déçue que l’appareil devient si vite obsolète. Je n’ai même plus le droit de charger un livre à partir d’Amazon. 
Je trouve qu’il faudrait quand même laisser cette possibilité, tout en avertissant que le contenu peut n’être pas très lisible. Après, c’est à nous de décider.

I use the app to consult emergency manuals while out in the wilderness. This means a crucial feature for me is that if I download a book once, it has to stay available no matter what. At the moment this is not the case, need to randomly redownload books at times.
Sad that the only reliable method to solve my problem in 2024 is to obtain a PDF copy of these books and save it in the files app. Dear Kindle team, if you want to replace traditional books then you have go cover these corner cases as well! Thanks for your consideration :)

Ich habe gut 100 Titel auf meinen Macs. Mit jedem grösseren Update bin ich gezwungen, alle Titel neu herunterzuladen. Das ist nervig und es verunsichert: Was, wenn mein iMac einmal zu alt wird für die Kindle App? Immerhin habe ich viel Geld ausgegeben, und bin doch immer nur auf die Gnade Amazons angewiesen, meine Geräte zu unterstützen. Bücher auf Papier hätte ich mein Leben lang. Kindle Bücher müssten angesichts ihres prekären Zustands VIEL billiger sein.

The lack of adequate background download management is glaring, making it a frustrating experience. For an app that's supposed to enhance reading, it does the exact opposite. Highly disappointed.
Despite using a high-end mobile device with excellent Wi-Fi and internet speeds, the app struggles to manage downloads effectively. It frequently freezes, crashes, and consumes an alarming amount of processing power—only to fail at downloading anything successfully. Amazon surely can do better.
