This app (basic version) is free to Amazon Prime members. The app provides an amazing array of options to create playlists and to stream different genres of music and podcasts. Highly recommended!

Not a fan of the advertising as a prime member, if it wasn’t for the package price I’d be going to Apple Music. Don’t raise prices on PRIME any time soon!

If you've got an Amazon Prime (basic) account and you were enjoying half of Unlimited's functionality, well you're out of luck. No more direct song access, albums or downloads - you now get a bad algorithm doing what spotify/iHeart/Pandora has been doing better for years. Do yourself a solid and just get a free spotify account if you're not gonna shell out for Unlimited because this dumpster is on fire. Edit: Also is bugged where the same song comes up repeatedly and in the worst case PLAYS AGAIN IMMEDIATELY! Oh, and you still can't skip it. Absolutely the worst. Dunno what kind of borker gives this 5 stars after everything good was removed! 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷

can u pls make app for mac its really frustrating when the wifi isnt working and i cannot download onto the mac itself.

The title says it all. Creating your own playlists is not easy… as they push curated music at you. The app would benefit from the ability to select multiple songs from genres, albums or other playlists to add to a playlist. The range of music is extensive and a lot is CD quality up to 192kHz 24 bit with dolby atmos capability which allows surround sound. BUT THAT is only available on devices capable of playing surround sound. The app doesn’t have the capability. I use the FireTV device through a receiver and it works fine. The FireTV interface isn’t designed for selecting and playing music from a variety of different locations like albums or playlists so i build a list on the app and wait for it to appear on the FireTV to play.

I purchased a plan for 12 months thinking it would connect with my Alexa system. It does not after numerous attempts, so do not buy the service if you want to stream to your Alexa system ……

I have been offered a three month cost free trial. I pressed the "button" in the email and I was up and running playing music on my iPhonePro 15 via the browser very quickly. So I thought I would venture further & install the Amazon Music App. Big mistake!! That's when my problems started and after wasting a lot of time and frustration, I contacted them for technical assistance. After approx 1.5 hrs I was no closer to a fix and they said that the App must need upgrading - which might happen in a few weeks time! Not a good experience!! So I have found a work-round. Uninstall the App, reboot and just log in via Safari or Google Browser. At least it now works on my iPhone - but only in SD audio quality. I already subscribe to YouTube Music so don't expect I will be continuing a paid subscription to Amazon Music after the trial period.

I enjoy amazon music but the app needs a change, it needs to have a better view of the artist like all the discography, better search results with ai, allow music from itunes to be played, and last is to add a music Equaliser
