This is so slow composite to the business checking app for managing my AMEX Business checking account. They brought in in for from what appears to be all AMEX products in the first summary page and it take so long to load compared. May normal banking functions from the Business app take more pages to get to and just not a good experience at all. Just let us choose which app we want to use, don’t for e us to use this terrible “Dashboard” looking app. I can do anything with by credit cards anyway unless I do into the credit card app. BRING BACK BUSINESS CHECKING APP PLEASE!
Terrible app
Might be the slowest & worst app on my phone. A huge step backwards and not the quality you’d expect from Amex.
Awful app
It shows so little detail. Just whether the transaction was a credit or debit. This is such an easy change so I don’t know why Amex has allowed this mediocre app to remain in this state for like 2 years.
Disappointing
I was excited to use Amex business checking for a few reasons- it’s free, and they have great customer service. However, we will have to switch. The app is bare bones and I mean seriously bare bones, don’t expect anything other than a list of debits and credits- absolutely no details and no way to dig deeper or store info. Their bill pay is atrocious. I issued a check through bill pay and it wasn’t cut for several days, took several more to even be mailed out and the vendor didn’t receive it for 18 days after it was requested on my end. They don’t partner with Zelle or many others. Transactions are slow. We are super disappointed in this account, I expected so much better from such a stellar company.
Unnecessary app - should be in standard app
Title says it all…. This app wasn’t needed. It doesn’t really do anything. Just please add the business checking to the standard amex app. It’s not like this app does anything extra…
Irritating
I can’t deposit a check because it can’t detect my endorsement even though the picture is clear. And since there is no physical bank I have to pay to mail it across the country to get deposited.
Surprised at limitations
I was expecting a bit more out of this app. Cash flow doesn’t seem to recognize ACH in or out. Can’t make categories. It’s basically a means to deposit paper checks on the rare moment I need to.
App is terrible for a small business
I appreciate AMEX and them providing a checking. Two issues: many places don’t recognize Amex checking, only Amex savings so integration with other banks/entities has been limited for me. The other issue is the app. My normal every day personal checking account has more capability than this bare bones app. I’d hardly call it a banking app. You can’t do anything in it. You can’t categorize expenses and my other accounts linked to the dashboard fall off regularly. Had I known the Amex checking was this bare bones, I would have gone with another bank. I expected a whole lot more from Amex. I have the delta reserve and platinum and believed that’s the level of app I would get with banking. Not so…it doesn’t even come close. Very disappointed.
Face ID constantly turns off spontaneously.
Face ID constantly turns off spontaneously and the application asks for a password, and then a confirmation call. Since I actively use my account, I'm already tired of wasting time for that. I don't have this problem with all other banking apps, only with Amex. It’s very annoying.
Glitchy
I find the app to be glitchy. It regularly open it to find it not loading or opening. Other banking apps I use don’t have the issue. It functionally works 50% of the time, but it is inconsistent and unreliable.
