Beautifully designed, as is consistently the case with American Express products. The app feels elegant and thoughtfully crafted. That said, there are two missing features that would truly elevate the experience. First, the ability to remember past searches — a basic yet essential function mentioned often in other reviews. Second, and most importantly, integrating flights into the new design. The current hotel search results are exquisite, and bringing that same level of design and functionality to flights would make this the best travel app in its category. It’s why I’ve not used the travel app on the web either. Amex is just too difficult to use. Add onto that the fact that they don’t save your search history and you get a very frustrating combination that makes me re enter my search parameters over and over again when I’m trying to do research.
