Ampero Control FAQ
Is Ampero Control free?
Yes, Ampero Control is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Ampero Control legit?
🤔 The Ampero Control app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I’m using the Ampero control with Ampero switch and soul press2 for additional midi control to control AmpliTube 5 max on a newer MacBook Pro with 16g ram and a 1 terabyte ssd. Sometimes it just works. Most of the time it locks up after 20 min or so and has to be unplugged for a few minuets before plugging back in. That usually works but not always. The computer itself continues to function just fine but without the midi foot control.
Doesn’t work
Some people assuming it is the ios17 update, no don’t know cause, but it finds device but never connects. Since there is no pc based software, the controller is useless without this software.
Needs Updates like other brands!
- No Mac/Windows App
- No foot switches MIDI learning
Great app—easy to use and works as it should
App and support are great. When the app no longer worked after an iOS update, the team were quick to respond to requests for an app update. Solid midi controller, solid app, solid support team. Rock on!
Functional but not Elegant
I wish it would display note names (e.g. “C4”) in addition to MIDI note numbers. If the app allowed for multiple device configurations, then other features could be possible, like a memo section where you could store some notes about each preset.
Broken in iOS17
App worked well with iOS 16 but will not connect to the device via Bluetooth on iOS 17 or iPadOS 17. Wish they would make a Mac version.
Update app
the app does not work with IOS 17, developers need to update this app.
Doesn’t work on ios 17
The app used to work pretty well, but sadly they have yet to update it and it doesn’t connect via bluetooth to the pedal (stuck on loading screen). Hope they fix it soon.
I wish all apps were this well written and maintained
I don’t ever write reviews. I just want to say how incredibly user friendly and seamlessly this works. Hats off to the team at Ampero.
I thought this would be plug and play
I have managed to get the pedal to work on buttons one and two by going in to the app I want to control and create new assignments to match. Baby steps.
