Refund and app is hard to use.
They are useless when it comes to refunds. I had a 14 day free trial and I forgot to cancel but on the 15th day $60 was taken out of my account for a MONTH. As soon as I saw the payment get taken out (two hours later) I canceled my membership and you’d think because I’ve payed for a whole month and canceled my membership on the first day, that I’d get a refund or even a partial refund. No refunds at all for memberships…
On top of that. The app hardly worked for me and wouldn’t let me search anything or know much about my relatives. It was very hard setting up my tree… I only got to my great grand parents🤷🏼♀️ oh well. Waste of $60 and time:)
Always freezing and unavailable
This is a fantastic app when it works but it keeps freezing or is unavailable which is very frustrating
Website vs. App
The App is very limited in its capabilities making research difficult, time consuming or even impossible. Some examples the Search function does not allow you to filter down enough and the DNA match search. Does not allow you search by location/region, only by name. Particularly frustrating/useless if you don’t have a confirmed name or too many names to filter but only know a region/location. The DNA “ Predicted Relationship” is also different, APP will say “2nd Cousin” but the website will say “2nd Cousin or Half 1st Cousin 1x removed”.
This app just doesn’t work properly
The tree doesn’t update itself, I have trouble saving records, and it just doesn’t work like it should, and it doesn’t link to information I have found when using the website.

Since installing this app have found a stalker who is tracking me has been able to use this app for their nefarious activities! Don’t recommend!!

Formally happy customer
I got an ancestry dna kit for Christmas and was loving being able to access everything on the ancestry app until suddenly found out all the things I had access to were being disabled and only accessible if I had a paid account. Now also I can’t access my traits at all as the server is constantly down. The kit purchased was the particular kit that also did traits and I’m getting emails saying new traits added but can never access. Not happy
Trying to use my 35 year old Ancestry Tree on my mibile.
I should access it as easy as I could on my laptop.
Why can’t just open my own tree with the same security as I use on my laptop?
