Or why bees and flowers seem to be in some private conversation about ultraviolet light? Animal Eyes is a science-backed camera app that turns your iPhone into the eyes of 10 different species — in real time. Point your camera at anything and watch the same scene shift as you tap between human, dog, cat, pit viper, honeybee, eagle, shark, bull, mantis shrimp, and goldfish vision. Each filter is built on real visual physiology — cone counts, peak wavelengths, visual acuity, and night-vision properties — not a generic sepia or saturation slider. THE LIVE CAMERA • Real-time GPU-accelerated filters running through your iPhone camera • One-tap switch between 10 animal-vision modes • Photo and video capture saved straight to your Photo Library • Front and rear camera support — see the room through your dog's eyes, or what a goldfish would make of you THE LEARN TAB — REAL SCIENCE, PLAIN LANGUAGE Every animal has its own page covering: • Cones / photoreceptors — how many, peaking at which wavelengths • Color perception — what they actually see • Visual acuity — comparable to human 20/20 • Night vision — tapetum lucidum, rod density, low-light superpowers • Special abilities — UV detection, polarization vision, heat sensing, motion detection • A "Did you know?" hook for each species THE TEN ANIMAL VISIONS Free: • Human — Trichromatic baseline • Dog — Yellow-blue dichromat • Cat — Crepuscular dichromat • Pit Viper — Heat-vision hybrid • Honeybee — Ultraviolet trichromat Animal Eyes Pro: • Eagle — High-acuity tetrachromat • Shark — Rod monochromat • Bull — Red? What red? • Mantis Shrimp — Polarization wizard • Goldfish — UV-seeing tetrachromat ANIMAL EYES PRO — ONE TIME, $2.99 A single in-app purchase unlocks everything. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges: • All 10 animal vision filters • All four alternate app icons (Dog, Cat, Goldfish, Mantis Shrimp) • Removes every banner and interstitial ad — permanently PRIVACY-FIRST • No account, no sign-up, no email required • Camera frames are processed on-device and never uploaded • Photo Library access is write-only — only photos and videos you choose to save are written • Free version uses Google AdMob with full Apple App Tracking Transparency support: choose "Ask App Not to Track" and ads stay non-personalised PERFECT FOR • Curious kids and the parents answering their questions • Biology, zoology, and earth-science teachers • Pet owners who want to see a dog-walk through their dog's eyes • Wildlife photographers thinking about subject contrast • Anyone who's ever wondered what a bee sees in a flower Animal Eyes is made by an independent science-education studio.
