Cool device, but some times losing connection
Enter ssid name in 2023, really? :) don’t you think picking one from list of networks nearby would be much better UX. Looks like it can’t hold 2 devices (phones) at the same time. Also timer setting on device is like the nightmare. Got nothing to do with the app but have to mention it :)
Anova nano is an awesome and affordable precision cooker. App is very good, yet it seems like Joule app is even better
It takes so long to find a device even when it’s just near. The app often does not reacting on cancelling actions. My last recipe was running for 128 hours while the device was disconnected from the electricity.
Anova introduced a subscription service after I purchased my sous vide. They grandfathered me in to continue to use their app, but now I need to re-login every time I want to cook something. Their product is fine, but trying to get people to pay a subscription to get basic app features on something they already own is pretty obnoxious. Recommend buying something that gives you this functionality (setting the temperature remotely and checking on its status) for free.
Scummy company disables advertised functionality of device to strong arm you into buying a new one. If you’re considering buying, this will not happen only once. Anova will cripple your device just like they have others, mine included. Stay far away.
No longer connects to the AN500 models when it previously did. Also transitioning to a subscription based app after it previously being free to use is beyond lame
App will not work unless you create an account, even then it’s glitchy.
Now I suddenly need a subscription service to use the product i paid you $200 to use? Trash.
It would be very nice to not have to dismiss the request for a pointless subscription every time I opened the app. I may abandon the app entirely over this.
