Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

Anova introduced a subscription service after I purchased my sous vide. They grandfathered me in to continue to use their app, but now I need to re-login every time I want to cook something. Their product is fine, but trying to get people to pay a subscription to get basic app features on something they already own is pretty obnoxious. Recommend buying something that gives you this functionality (setting the temperature remotely and checking on its status) for free.

The minute you walk away and the Bluetooth disconnects. You pretty much have to manually disconnect the machine to reestablish Bluetooth connectivity. You’re better off just not using the app. With my experience once the app disconnects so will your cook time and sometimes temperature.
